Not my first 280. My new one like those I have purchased in the past does the job better than any battery powered robot I have tried. The 280 is simple to install, operate and maintain with DIY options for when the time comes for a part replacement.
Pool is cleaner than it's been in years!
Very responsive.
Once I got it going, the Polaris (aka PollyWog) is working well. I hadn’t anticipated as much setup as it took. The clerks at Leslie’s gave no indication it was so many steps to getting it working. The instructions were a little challenging to follow. My pool is maybe half the size this is capable of so I ended up taking one of the hoses out instead of cutting it in half and I just skipped installing the swivel connector. Replaced a six year old unit that had a few parts replaced and needed another. Instead of investing more I bought the exact model so I could install it myself. Went in easily and works great!
4th Polaris I have had over 29 years and they work great!

My new Polaris 280 greatly outperforms my older 380 and its much faster. Very pleased so far!!
The 280 has always done a great job cleaning my pool over the many years that I've had it. I just purchased my second 280 and it's been working very well. Customer service has been very good. My only negative feed back would be with the pressure relief valve which sprays water out the threaded sides after the valve is screwed in all the way, causing some water to be sprayed out of my pool. As I recall, many years ago my first PRV had a washer around the threads which prevented the side leakage. The water only flowed straight... read more
