I have been bringing my Bluenose Pit to CPC-NE since May and have had mostly great experiences. Shannon at the front desk is amazing. She remembers my pup every time he comes in and is always super helpful. She answers all my questions and if she doesn't know, she makes an effort to find out. Dr. Smith did the procedure on my pup (I got him neutered.. sorry Deagle!) and she was great. Her "bedside" manners were wonderful, she was caring and compassionate. These people have always been very kind and helpful. Very knowledgeable and caring about my animals. When my cat of 15 years had to be put down, they were so thoughtful. They even sent me a sympathy card, signed by all. I'm very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone in the area.
Very pleased every time I go there. All my dogs are rescues-so they all have different special needs and have been traumatized from their previous living situations. The whole staff from the front office to the back are so compassionate and make sure they take the time and care for each of my dogs. I have referred my friends and family there and they all are very happy with the care there as well.
My review comes in two parts: PART ONE: the visit & treatment was a 5 star experience. My cat is 16 years old and has a medical history like a rap sheet, he recently was refusing food; in the SE Portland area on the weekend you have about 3 choices: one that is "assembly line" veterinary care, one that is outrageously expensive & this place. The walk in option has saved me more than one trip to Emergency, not to mention I don't always know my schedule in advance so love the flexibility for routine stuff. I love your staff who has always been great to my dogs and flexible with the ones I bring in with personality quirks ( an understatement of the year ) I feel you have set up your practice to insure people can provide the best care for their pets and have looked at the obstacles of why they don't like time and money. I love this clinic! The doctors are awesome, the staff is caring and dedicated, and they really do their best to make you aware of what's going on with your pet and bill before anything is done. It's a walk in clinic so expect a wait. Sometimes there's no wait at all, but it's best to be prepared!
Our 12-year-old miniature schnauzer is begining to have health issues, and the doctors at CPC on 82nd did a fantastic job of educating me on the pros and cons of different treatment options. They were up-front about costs, and I didn't feel pressured to pursue the most expensive treatment plans. I really appreciate the sensitivity and patience shown by Dr. Smith and Dr. Peetz. I had a surgery and a dental cleaning for my cat. They rushed us in and out. When picking up our cat the vet didn't even see us to explain anything and when we got him home we had no idea how many stitches he was going to have or why it was such a big incision since he had the tiniest little bump. I wish they would take the time to explain things better. Dr. Schlingman has been amazing working with our Australian Shepherd to diagnose and treat a urinary incontinence problem. When Izzy had allergies to the med, he contacted the manufacturer to get info and then found an alternate source without the allergens. He has responded quickly to all phone calls and has been very supportive. The staff makes us feel very welcome, even though we are not easy to deal with (our girl is super sweet, but hyper and gets overly excited in the office).
