Great clinic , very nice and caring people. I have been going here for ten years. The office staff are nice and friendly. The dpctor was very patient and understanding, even though my cat freaked.he climbed up the blinds , he knocked over the scale.he hissed and growled. Have read on here where some places won't let you go back with your animal and won't deal with animals who are panicked. They presented me with two different options regarding price. We've recently adopted a 7.5 year old dog and we found a laundry list of issues within our first two weeks of having him. After visiting a vet clinic closer to our home, we didn't get answers to 'fix' our new dog, and they were SOO expensive. He then broke a tooth. after talking to coworkers, I was referred to Companion Pet Clinic because they had used them and had a positive experience. BACKGROUND - I'm a broke hoe. But this hoe loves to rescue cats and have corgis for furkids. PROS - Excellent pricing. I don't think you can beat the pricing from these folks, no matter how controversial the reviews are from different locations. Believe me, I have called around and compared many prices. Efficient and caring. From the desk staff, who made every effort to get my cat a quick appt., to the vet. aides, to the vets, I was impressed with diagnosis and treatment and kindness. I highly recommend this place. I found my previous experience at an expensive clinic to be less satisfying than this wonderful place.
We have two cats and live around the corner from Companion Pet Clinic (aka Animal Wellness Center of Portland). Unfortunately we've had various troubles with our two kitties over the last few months and have had to visit the clinic about 4 times. Every time we've been very happy with the service we received. It's a walk-in clinic and we've normally taken our cats in as soon as they open and have been seen within 10 minutes each time. Dr Mathaes (who we've ending up seeing every time) is fantastic. I love the vet techs here and I the fact that its within walking distance of home gives this place three stars. Beyond that I have issues with the smell, how old everything seems, and how the actual vets seem to disagree about EVERYTHING. My poor little pup had to see all three of them on different occasions before they could come up with a concise diagnosis, what a waste of time and money! I miss my Corvallis vet!
I've been bringing my little feline friends into the clinic for a few years now. Once I had a stray mama cat that had kittens under my house. I brought the kitties in and explained what was going on and they treated them all for worms for the price of one! I think they knew I was just trying to foster them and let them nurse before taking them all on that stressful trip to the humane society. It was really sweet of them! I am not quite sure how I feel about this place yet. I can say that the Vet /Dr. who was on duty was one of the most compassionate and comforting of any other Vet I have ever been too. I had a very sick pet and they got me in very quickly. I believe they did all they could for my dog but, they just did not have enough time too be thorough as needed. I took my kittens here recently because one of them was very sick and running a high temperature. I decided to take both kittens just to be sure, and it turned out they were both sick with high temps. We didn't have to wait more than 10 min. to be seen and everyone was very friendly and helpful. They gave us some drops to give both of them twice daily and within 24 hours both kittes were up and running around!!! They were great for me and not to mention the best prices I've ever seen.
