I tried getting estimates and appointments set up for my two boys for literally months after their exams. I shouldn't have to beg to get my cats the care they need. I had high hopes after the management change and a new vet on staff who initially was fantastic but then flakey. I finally got so sick of trying I have changed vets. I have tried time and time again to give this place a chance and I regret it. If you want a responsive, caring vet that you can trust -- this is not the place.

I made an appoint on Wednesday February 26 at 10:33 am according to my phone record. My dog has an ear infection. I was told they had no availability that day and the soonest they could get us in would be Saturday at 12:30 so I took the appt. We arrived about 12:15 only to be told we would have to pay the walk in fee. I explained we had an appt for 12:30 and showed them on my phone the time I'd called and made the appt on Wednesday. They refused to admit their error and told us we'd have to pay the walk in fee even after che... read more

These people "forgot" to fill my pets medication which he takes daily. After waiting a week for it to get filled and knowing it's a medicine my dog needs daily they refused to fill it on a Friday or write me a perscription to get it fill elsewhere. They said they would call me when the doctor goes through her list in order and it may not get filled today. So they say my pet needs it daily but are ok with me going the weekend without medicine. After explaining how it's been a week and he is conpletely out, the doctor still wo... read more

VERY expensive . My pets have been patients of this clinic all the way from when they opened . This new "New Compassionate Owners" have hiked the prices significantly . If I go to an emergency clinic , my x-ray is $100 , for a human! Guess how much they asked me for my KITTEN ? $380 !!!!!!! For radiographs and consultation. 380 dollars ! While waiting, I noticed a sign that offered 50% off of neutering and spraying. Their "original" spray price says its $500!!!!!!!! And theyll knock it off to $250 ??? Listen you scammers , ... read more

I've tried to make this place work. They're not flexible, but will act like they are. They will tell you they will refill a prescription, go so far as to say that it will be ready in 24 hours. Then you show up and you find out the vet just simply wont approve it. No phone call to tell you this. They want another vet visit, another set of tests. Just another vet looking for too much money.

If I could give this place zero stars- I would. I went to companion pet clinic yesterday to treat my cat for ear mites. He was healthy beyond that. The vet I had yesterday was very kind but not thorough in her exam at all. She only asked me about the ear mites and a vet tech took his temperature but never looked or examined him much beyond that. That isn't the problem here though, the biggest problem is that I went to treat my cat for earmites and I noticed today my cat has fleas now. He did not have fleas before today and ... read more

On 9.5.18 I was told by Dr Jane Erickson at companion pet clinic of NE Portland that my healthy 4 year old pug Jake was terminally ill and needed immediate surgery that's cost ( was not enough to come up with in what I was told was hours that he had left to live.) Dr Jane Erickson told me she could not help me after doing one test then gave me 15 minutes to figure out how to get 8,000 dollars and only asked me "when will you have the money,do you have the money now?"(pestering me several times) Dr Erickson had informed me ja... read more

After taking my new puppy in and letting staff know no LEPTO shot as the breed I have has had horrible reactions and even a death. I spoke to Vet and also Tech who said it would not be administered and noted in chart. My husband took dog in for 3rd set of shots and THEY GAVE OUR DOG THE LEPTO SHOT. Now they are trying to say not in chart but I gave records. Person I spoke with extremely rude. Will never step foot in such a place again Looking for legal options and my puppy package $$ funds back.

Buyer beware. They try to appear to be an economical option. Their vets must be pressured to upsell once they've got you in the door. The exam fee is great, but today they refused to give my healthy, stable senior dog her seizure medication, that she's been on forever, without performing literally $600 worth of lab tests. Ridiculous. And cruel. No reason to give them my business. And by the looks of their empty lobby, they could stand some of my business. 2 stars only because the vet was super nice to my dog before she made ... read more
