Brother PC connectable label maker The PC connectable label maker by Brother is a great product. Can be used to create a variety of labels and a few label cartridges (starter tape) comes with the package. The label maker has a color display which makes the text easy to read (a variety of fonts) and the labels print quickly and easily. Comes with the usb cable and a power cord. 4/5 stars! I recommend for those that like to be organized & creative!
Every seriously organized person needs one of these. And THIS is the one to get! AWESOME label maker! This is the perfect gift for that compulsive somebody - OR - yourself if you live the organized life. Where to begin? Okay, Brother includes the electric cord, aka AC Adapter, so you don't have to go get 6 double A batteries - HUGE plus - great job, Brother! Pretty Neat This is a pretty neat little device. You buy cartridges with different sizes or colors of tape and you can basically put just about whatever you want on them. It was pretty intuitive to figure out. I had no real difficulty using it straight out of the box. My only concern would be the cost of the cartridges. Most seem to run in the $30+ range. One star off for size and weight, but otherwise a very nice label printer, easy to use, comes with a/c adapter I've owned several Epson Labelworks label printers and was interested in comparing this Brother model. Overall, it is very nice, though a bit larger than I expected -- but the advantage there is the keyboard is larger so a bit easier to actually type on. Brother Printer PTD600 Lable Maker The Brother PTD600 Label Maker is the first label maker I've owned and used, and so far I am quite happy with it. This label printer comes with one tape cassette containing basic white label tape. I was also given two colored tapes in other sizes (widths) for testing purposes. New toy! I have never seen one of these so I was worried I'd never get it to work...I was wrong! What a neat label printer...plus I figured it out with no problems... so easy to use! I had a few label ideas read to print and had them printing in minutes after getting this out of it's box...I was floored! Very intuitive, stiff keys, easy to change tapes This was my first label maker and I'm pretty impressed. It was fairly intuitive to create and print labels, and the tapes were easy to switch in and out. I only needed the manual to see how to take full advantage of the customization options. The keys are a little stiff, and controlling the scale of the label could be easier, but otherwise it's great. I did have problems with one of the other tapes I used (a lime green one). easy to use, lots of variety The Brother Printer PTD600 PC Connectible Label Maker is pretty intuitive right out of the box, and easy to set up - you can plug it into the wall if you don't have six batteries lying around (AA, I believe), and it comes with a simple white with black ink label tape (but you're able to buy a wide variety of different colored labels and inks). Useful, relatively intuitive, and fun This is a really nice labeling machine, and it's all-in-one, so there's no need to connect it to your computer. That being said, you can download (to your computer) design software. I downloaded it to give it a look, but it really doesn't seem necessary if you can get used to the printer's controls.
