Display has Moïre pattern effect in it. Out of the box the display has this screen door Moïre pattern effect. No go/ will return. Will find a used PT-2700 like I have had for years that recently died or a used updated PT-2730. Very disappointing.
Driver installation fails The label printer works good enough and (provided you use the "chain" cut option), it doesn't waste tape in between labels. The integrated LCD display looks terrible, but it is serviceable, so I guess it works. They really should update the LCD screen to a better display. It's not as easy to type in the brother machine as in a regular keyboard, but that was expected given the lack of key travel and I'm not holding that against the machine. Anxiety provoking Hard to set up! No help from Brother. Returned it. Kept my old Labeler.
ptouch printer Bought this as a gift for my wife but amazon just put a label on it so when it was delivered she knew what I got her with out me being able to wrap it. Shame on Amazon.
Problems with labeller features unresolved (and misunderstood) by tech support. My 3rd ptouch. Bought for backlit screen mostly. Harder to select options than my previous unit but love that I no longer need to use scissors. Tech support for this product is terrible. I spent 2 hours trying to resolve an issue with support. The preview feature doesn't work properly with 18 and 24 mm tapes, if there is just one line of text. I got disconnected once, and neither tech to resolve the issue. terrible i dont think anyone could design a printer harder to use. i work in IT and i use label makers all day also. i dont think this should be hard for me but it has terrible formatting issued that for the life of me i cant figure out. BE WARNED IT ONLY COMES WITH A SAMPLE TAPE that you can only use to print one sticker.... would return if i opened it in time.

Jams Constantly after 6 months light use. This was great while it worked. I have always used the brand refills, but now it won't work at all.
Uses too much tape and poor customer service I was initially excited but...I should have believed the poor reviews. 1. A blank tape prints before the real label prints. This results in wasting too much of the tape. Given that the tape itself is expensive this is really wasteful. 2. The self service online help is not very helpful in addressing any questions. Contacting support is not exactly intuitive. Once you find the link to send them a question in an email, you wait approximately 24 hours for a response. There used to be... read more
