Didn't last long I purchased this from Amazon in August 2021 and have only used it occasionally. Yesterday I wanted to print some labels but it will not power on. Tried the AC adapter and replacing batteries but without success. It's toast.
Stopped working randomly after return time ended. Well. Randomly stopped working after maybe 12 uses on Set/production. Return date has ended so im out money. Not buying again. Older models last longer.( 6 year old one still works, but deosnt have the type face & styles to match what we have done so far. Extremely irritated knowing how good this product and company NORMALLY is.
It's too hard to set up and change the settings I always try to buy Brother products because they are made good and easy to use. Every time you want to do something a little different with this label maker you have to go through too many steps to change it. The user manual is written so little I can hardy see it with a magnifying glass. I did download a user manual that is bigger to read, but that did not solve anything. I need to keep the user manual close by when I try to use it because it is so complicated.
Not ready for Prime Time--Difficult to Use and not reliable I have owned this machine now for some months and while I have managed, through a great deal of difficulty, to print labels, this product is not reliable and consistent. I have had a number of software crashes and have had to reload software and firmware several times. iOS 11 Big Sur Incompatible Doesn't work right with iMac. Can't edit text once you click outside the text box. Have to remake the entire text box for a single letter correction. Brother says it's not their problem even though they haven't updated their software in 9 months and don't plan on updating it. Great rep but after an hour trying still it's a dud.
Had issues immediately I ordered this a while ago and decided to try it today. I got one label printed from the white sample tape that was included. I trued to make another and it wouldn't work so I opened it up and the tape was jammed. No way to fix it or recoup the tape that was left. It came with the paper in it so I didn't put it in wrong. So now I have to buy more tape and hope it doesn't happen again. Ideally I would like a replacement but it may be too late.
Cant hold 99 labels... or 30. Useless Label Software With a Max of 9 Saves. This printer does everything I need, Todays date and a future date depending on the expiration of the item that auto generates based on the days current date. Doesn't work when connected to PC Tried connecting this thing to my PC and the blasted thing wouldn't stop printing my tape. It emptied the entire cassette and just showed 'Interface Printing... Please Wait' the whole time. Happens any time I try to connect it to a PC. It requires a cassette to be loaded in order to interface with a computer. Amazon 90 coverage is a lie. Incompatible With Mac OS 11 In spite of product description stating that label maker is compatible with Macintosh computers, it's not. Latest software allows desktop label creation (as crude as this P-Touch application is) but printing label is defective. For example, I created a 7-inch long label for a 12mm tape and sent a print command. Result was that the first part (approx 3-4 inches) printed, then the cutter sliced the tape off at that point.
