Super flexible and available, no long waits for appointments. The staff is so supportive and friendly and they've always take great care of my little senior Pom. They always review the itemized costs of all the exam, procedures, and medications. They include everything that could be needed or is recommended but are also transparent about what's fully necessary if the recommendations are outside your budget, which I always appreciate. I took my cat, Eurydice, to Pure Paws this morning because she had not been eating and was very lethargic. I am very happy with the service I received. Following an examination by Dr. Schechter, the vet assistant (I wish I could remember his name- he was great!) came in and went over the expenses line-by-line. Blood tests were run and Dr. Schechter came back to go over the diagnosis in great detail. His recommendations seemed prudent (i.e. no unnecessary testing or actions.) Pure Paws is FANTASTIC! I have worked with the staff at pure paws with some of my foster dogs and my own resident dog. I find the staff to be so professional, organized and extremely kind and warm towards me and my animals. I never feel like I'm doing anything that isn't necessary for my dogs and I always think that my dog's health is their #1 priority. I happened to find in the middle of the night while searching as I knew my Kitty Twinkie would need to go in the morning. As this popped up I realized that it was near a good friends apt. and shot them an email , that was all I needed to go ! The Dr Rebecca and her tech Archie were wonderful understanding and about all really listened. Cheers to them and my Twinkie is feeling a lot better!
Literally the BEST veterinary office ever! Dr. Schechter & Dr. Liff are just lovely! The entire staff is lovely! My cat can be pretty difficult and Pure Paws handles him like a champ! I'm so greatful for such a wonderful vet experience every time. They are pricy by worth every penny! I highly recommend!
My husband and I are new to the area and to NYC. We needed a great vet for our 2 small dogs, and a friend recommended Pure Paws since they are so close to us. I'm so glad they did! I've taken my dog to Dr. Alex and he is great. Seems like he really cares, listens, and doesn't pressure you to do unnecessary stupid tests and spend unneeded amounts of money. I like, trust, and recommend his care at Pure Paws.
This review is long overdue, as we really are happy with the treatment we have received for our dog Gus since we started taking him here a year ago. Gus, our lab, enjoys his street treats too much, and as a result has required two surgeries to remove foreign objects from his stomach. The stress of having a sick dog is nothing compared to the sadness you feel not knowing how to make things better for your beloved pet.
