Though we live only 4 blocks away we had never used the Pure Paws Veterinary on 42nd Street. I had just brought home a 3 month old Maine Coon and the breeder required a checkup within a week. I also have an 11 year old rescue cat that needed a checkup. So . . . I thought I would try Pure Paws as, given the times, we needed a close by vet. I love all of the staff at Pure Paws Vet. I volunteer as a medical coordinator for a rescue and have also brought various foster dogs to vet visits at this office. I have only had wonderful experiences working with their front desk staff, vet techs, and the doctors. Pure Paws' Medical Director Dr. Liff is an absolute angel and I can tell that she truly cares so much about each dog. After long research on Yelp, found this place with great reviews. And they did not lie. Everyone was helpful and really nice. Even that I couldn't go inside during this time i felt comfortable with my dog being there by her self. They were quick and the doctor went over all the work that needs to be done and pricing. So i really appreciate that. We found our new Vet for my Dog ! Also we went there all the way from Brooklyn, and it is worth it. Thank you.

I would love to thank Pure Paws for such a wonderful and pleasant experience. My cat got through the neutering well and is not in any pain at all. The staff was friendly and they continue to contact me every day to check up on my cat. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Thank you to Dr. Liff and the amazing staff at Pure Paw for seeing us during this city shutdown. Their work at Pure Paw is above and beyond the average vet clinic. They are upfront about pricing, they are willing to discuss what procedures are necessary and which ones are optional at the time and their energy is nurturing and welcoming. Pure Paws is one of the best Vets I've ever taken my kitty Molly to. The staff is incredibly caring, helpful and accommodating. Changing an appointment, no problem. Emergency care, they're right there to help. When I took Molly for a FAVN rabies antibody test needed to move to Hawaii (Hawaii has no rabies and requires the test results), the doctor printed out the checklist for moving pets to Hawaii to make sure I had everything covered. All started with my decision to adopt another cat from a shelter in Istanbul, Turkey. I read that this stray kitten was locked in a cage and he was bored a lot! Just like every shelter animal, he seemed hopeless and neglected, his tail was broken, he was tiny for a 6 month old however he was so playful and friendly. Excellent first visit. Everyone was great and took good care of my nervous pup! This place was a great local recommendation (by Coco and Toto on 11th, thanks!) Definitely recommend to new residents or anyone in the Midtown West Area.
