The Red eye grill is certainly not as lovely as it used to be a few years ago. The menu is scanter, you have to pay a fortune for a piece of bread. The piano player was AWFUL and way too loud. The waiter didn’t even ask us if we wanted coffee at the end of the meal. Just is not the same wonderful old place.

We spent New Year’s Eve at Redeye Grill and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent from start to finish—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. First of all, I like to sit in the main dining room. They only had 4 tops in the middle and on the peripheries were 2 tops. I don't like that at all. Why? As we sat in a dimly lit area not far from the bar, you had no way to get the attention of the wait staff, which I needed on a few occasions. You just had to wait until your waitress came back. We went before a show. We made the reservation several weeks in advance and arrived early for our time. Despite the resturant being nearly empty, when we arrived, they sat us in a far back corner and we had to flag down a waiter to order. The cod was delicious, but the halibut dry and unremarkable. Over all a mediocre restaurant in a city with other amazing options. No need to eat here, other than close to shows.
