Still an outstanding experience. Food quality and presentation is outstanding, especially for a larger format restaurant. Still has a lot of energy after all these years.

There’s no question the restaurant makes quite a positive first impression – beautifully decorated. The staff could not have been lovely. The presentation was outstandingly creative, especially the coconut shrimp. I would have preferred to be told to remove the head before I started eating them. They were covered in batter, so I had no clue. When I mentioned the texture to the server, the apologized that the server/runner had not mentioned this. I was charged. Visiting NYC and went for dinner with my family. Restaurant was not very crowded which a very good after a day of traveling. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer, they were ok, lots of batter. Overall service was a little slow, especially the drinks. Our poor waiter was working both inside and had tables outside. Llli ordered the crab cakes with grilled shrimp. I stay at the WestHouse Hotel frequently because my best friend oversees that and 8 other properties. Every time I stay there, I have dinner at RedEye. Their GM is the nicest, most accommodating, and warm people you will ever meet. The staff treats you like a guest at a resort and they always have something fun planned to make your experience better. the food was very good and our server made us feel comfortable and was attentive. Initially the hostess wanted to seat us at a table immediately adjacent to the intersection and across from the wait staff station. Our server was kind enough to reset us to a booth along the windows that was much more comfortable with less street noise.
