This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the city. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by tasteful music, and a welcoming staff. Though there is hardly a wait for your food, you are checked on throughout your experience, and even given a fresh cookie while your dessert is prepared! Perhaps the highlight of this restaurant, however, is the banana cream pie. It's easily the best I've ever had and is the perfect cherry on top of the cake of your evening. If you're in the city for a concert (we saw U2), the ... read more
Fireman restaurants always more than dependable Can eat there often
My husband and I decided to try someplace new for dinner; he had mentioned his firm had a client dinner here and everyone raved about it so I made a last minute reservation. I was surprised to see a pianist/singer as soon as I walked in (lovely voice, btw). The upstairs "wall of wine" caught my eye as well. Just a beautiful place - food was phenomenal. I had the halibut with caviar beurre blanc which was amazing, my husband had the scallops over fresh summer corn and we split a side of onion rings which were incredible. Our ... read more
They serve the best chopped salad in NYC with an excellent dressing. On one occasion I ordered a breaded veal chop which was easily enough for two and very tasty and well prepared.
We really enjoyed everything about the evening. Our waiter Jeremy was great and the entertainment was a young lady named Marrisa. She was outstanding!!!
This place has been a favorite of mine for years, and the food and service are still consistently great. Nice wine list, fresh fish and seafood, wonderful steaks. And do not pass up the opportunity to try the Banana Cream Pie for dessert. It's amazing. Okay, the cheesecake is some of the best I've ever had, too. Order both. You will not be sorry. The music is a bit too loud, but it's nice that they have live music.
Live music was great and not so loud you couldn't talk at your table. The food was great and menu diverse. Pretzel bread is delicious as a starter
We ordered the three course price fixed meals for $42 The portions were generous and the quality was outstanding. As first timer diners, even though it was a delightful evening, we chose to eat inside. Great choice-- the decor was simple but elegant and added to the total experience. The waiter was experienced, friendly, attentive and obviously well-trained. I will return.
I lived in New York for several years, and loved to eat at Redeye Grill. Having been gone for 10 years, it's great to visit and find this restaurant is still wonderful. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the location is just out of the Times Square bedlam. You are made to feel comfortable by the staff, with no pretense. And the seafood is very fresh and perfectly prepared. The beef is of high quality, and the menu offers options for everyone, but go for the seafood.
Redeye Grill has a 4.2 star rating with 7,509 reviews.
