DIsappointing. The Redeye Grill has been a favorite of ours for years but this time we were very disappointed that they changed their signature dessert (Banana Cream Pie) so much so that fewer bananas, little or no custard, and lots of excess whipped cream made it a very ordinary dessert and not one we would seek out as we did in the past. Very pricey too.
Best clam chowder ever. Great spot for business dinners.
Dining was not a good experience. Loud singing from lounge area overwhelmed dining area. Many entrees at over $40 and appitizers over $25 for food that was nothing special. Elaborate presentations did not add to enjoyment of food. Excellent drinks, but almost $20. Well located if you are attending Carnegie Hall.
I can't recall ever having a bad meal, or dish of any sort there. Dozens of times that were problem free. This trip was great, as my Mother really enjoys the food there. Will be back next trip to NYC, it's always reliable for a great meal!
I wish there were some more readsonably-priced items on the menu. You had schnitzel in the past which I miss including the spaetzle pasta.. The food is uniformly excellent and the ambience, eventhough i miss the mural, is super.We like to sity in the front facing 7th avenue and when there we are very happy.
Food portions are delicious and generous embracing healthy vegetables.
Inside is elegant, classy. The food choices are wonderful and prepared deliciously. The name sounds almost like a diner or very casual.
What an absolute great find near Carnegie Hall!!!! Great food, great service, patrons that were happy to be there!!!! Pastrami hash and eggs were spectacular. We will be back many more times!!!!
By the name, I was not sure what type of restaurant this was. Once inside immediately welcomed and seated. The menu had a very nice selection of fish and meat. I was impressed that it stated all the items were freshly delivered daily. The food and service was excellent. A little pricy, but worth it. Perfect for a special occasion.
