From the moment i walked in the door I felt welcomed. the foods amazing quality was only surpassed by the extraordinary service our waiter, Jerry Tan provided. He made a special night an amazing night.
Service was great. Live music in the evening. Drinks were good. Food was good - not the best steak I have had for that price. Sides were plentiful & tasty. We both had steaks (filet & ribeye)....spinach & scalloped potatoes for sides. Sauteed shrimp appetizer was wonderful.
Everything about Red Eye Grill is top notch but affordable. Service from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave is fabulous. I would order the entire menu if my stomach could hold all the food. I've recommended it to friends and plan to keep coming back.
I've been at Red Eye numerous times, but am not likely to return. They now have a singer (or singers) who create a considerable noise, not just in the bar area, which would be OK, but amplified throughout the restaurant. Consequently, it's hard to hear your dinner partner. The service the last two times has been confused and slower than even people like us who aren't in a hurry prefer. The fish remains good, though limited, but the NY strip steak was tough. All in all, the dining experience was not up to what it has been.
We always have a great experience. I had the Dover sole and it was prepared perfectly and filleted table side. The Ahi tuna was presented beautifully as was the rack of lamb. I highly recommend the chopped salad as a starter. We went pre-theater and will return again. The service is always very good.
Friendly wait staff. Solid tasty plates. Convenient to Carnegie Hall. Very light handed pours on cocktails though....if that is your thing...like it is my thing.
The food was amazing, but the portions are incredibly tiny for the price. My friend and I got the lunch prix fixe and it was delicious but super small. Our lunch totaled $70, before tip. Crazy! Servers are very attentive though. For that price, how could they not be, right?!
This is the first time we dined at the Redeye and enjoyed it so much!!! The bartenders were the best my husband said it was the best manhattan he ever had!! The food was excellent along with the service. We will be back no doubt.
My husband and I come here often. It is in Midtown close to theatres, concert halls, and public transportation. The food is very good. The Alaskan King Crab legs were outstanding. The menu offers seafood, steaks, and other selections to fit any palate. It has an energetic NYC vibe with live music in the evenings. There are private dining rooms upstairs for group parties.
