We love Redeye Grill. Delicious food. We got a little rushed this time prior to the Carnegie show, but went back later for fantastic desserts! Banana Cream Pie was outstanding and the strawberries were beautiful!
Wonderful ambiance, super service, and excellent food. The menu and glasses of wine are pricy. Other than that it's truly a fantastic restaurant!
The food was fantastic, above what we expected. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly, our food arrived quick and the waiter was very attentive to what we needed. The steak was melt in your mouth delicious. We'll definitely return.
Have been there so any times in the past 20 years. It use to be in my neighborhood . Wasn't that impressed this time around prices have gone up and for less food. We have better finds for that price restaurants on the upper west side...
When we lived in the city we would dine here alot as well as introducing our friends. When we moved from the city we would come back to dine. This last time we did not enjoy our food or service. It took me a while write a review. Not sure if we will go back, but you never know. Maybe this was a off night for Redeye Grill.
I have to mention Scott because he was such an excellent waiter. Helpful and attentive. He went above and beyond when it came to splitting the check too by doing it just the way we needed it. If I ever go back there when I come to NY, I will ask for one of his tables!
Hostess was very friendly and gave us a choice of table. Lobster rolls were delicious but light on the lobster. The wine list was excellent. The appetizer of Guacamole was "to share", but we found it to be enormous!!! For my tastes, this restaurant would be a better value for dinner.
A bit pricey but large enough to handle last minute diners and res for larger groups. good for pre-theatre dinner or an entire evening. Our steaks were excellent ( but out of porterhouse at 6p on a saturday night??) vegetables and signature salad were acceptable but not memorable. entrees are large enough to split. Good location and will be back.
Always a perfect destination before a Carnegie Hall concert; best Cobb Salad in the world.
