We had the halibut and steak frites, which we ordered medium rare. Both were way overcooked, almost uneatable. And we are not foodies! Also surprisingly expensive, I would say you are paying mostly for ambiance and location. The service was enjoyable and the banana cream pie is amazing; I'd go back just for that.
Redeye Grill never disappoints. We go every year when we have tickets for Carnegie Hall or City Center. Service is friendly, a tad slow. The ambiance is lovely, even romantic, and the food is very good. Be warned that they only take reservations. People who walk in off the street are turned away.
Been going there for years. Food is always delicious and service excellent! Went twice this week. On effort company party and back for romantic dinner with my husband. Both were perfect!
Great experience. Carlos and his team are terrific and the food is alway wonderful.
Great food and service at the Redeye even though its a little pricey and the wine list is expensive. Perfect pre-Carnegie Hall location with its quiet hum and great ambiance.

Although expensive (we thought - we are from the South), it seems you get more ... read more
Had a relative in town that had mobility issues & thought of Red Eye Grill. It's a rather large space so it makes it easier to get situated. I've been to this place a number of times for events, and it's always get a solid eh for food. We had two fish dishes - sesame crusted tuna & miso glazed halibut; both had a somewhat flat flavor and was accompanied by a cloying sweet sauce. We also had the fried artichoke which was dry/burnt & didn't come with the mint gremolata. The calamari was actually quite good. The pain of it is t... read more
I have been to this restaurant before. The food is always consistant. The service is always great. we had a wonderful table by the window.
Really expensive. Excellent service. Food doesn't seem worth as much as they charge, but it was quite good. Noisy and crowded but nice look and feel inside.
