Great location, right across the street from Carnagie Hall. Wonderful food. Our lobster tails and steak were delicious! Reasonably priced, given what we ordered. Definitely will go back.
Don't let the exterior fool you because inside you will find outstanding service with superb food to match. Whether a relaxing personal time or on business Redeye fits the bill. It is definitely a four star without the haughty atttitude of the so-called "named" restaurants.
Wonderful food across from Carnegie Hall. The fish and chips were excellent, nice batter on the fish and crispy fries. The seared tuna was delicious and the stir fried went well with the fish. The special soup - butternut squash was also delicious. Great service also helped to make it a lovely meal.

The food was well prepared and tasty, but over priced (even for New York standards) on portions that were smaller than average for other similar priced restaurants in the City. It seems like they want to be a high end dining experience, but there is nothing extraordinarily special about their menu or the food's presentation. If they were to drop the prices of their entrees by $5 -$10, it would be a definite recommendation.
The Red Eye Grille is a great place to have a meal with a group of people. The food is good but more important - they do not rush you out! We had a great time!
friendly service, nice setting and great location. the waiter worked with us on making sure dinner was not rushed.. yet also timely for our 8pm show time. great seafood.
Far too jammed with tables to the point that you are bumped every time a waiter goes by. It totally diminishes everything else about the restaurant because you can't enjoy the food or atmosphere or company when you are getting rammed into every 3 minutes. Takes some tables out..you may lose a couple of bucks that night, but you will retain a customer for the future.
