We had lunch here before we went to Carnegie Hall on a sunday. The food and service was fantastic. we will definitely come back again.
Had not been here in a few years, and it was better than we remembered. Great food, service, and an inspired menu. Particularly wan to call out Samy, the Maitre D. A local florist screwed up on delivering flowers that were supposed to be at our table when we arrived. Samy did everything in his power to make that up to us, even though it was not his or the restaurant's responsibility. We listened to our waiter's recommendations and they were right on. The special fish of the day was really special and very fresh. The service was extremely efficient. The wine list was a little odd and quite expensive, but we mananged to find a easonably priced bottle that suited our tastes.
Great lobster Mac and cheese (get the entree for a 1lb lobster on top - not on the menu), so-so veggie veal dish. Roasted Brussel sprouts were very yummy, as was the asparagus au gratin. Cheapest wine by the glass was $14, so went with headachy Brooklyn lager instead. Get a nice bottle of wine and enjoy in your hotel room first. Fresh made chocolate cookies still on the cookie sheet were passed out as we were leaving. Nice touch.
Solid spot, always a good choice.
Best pre-theater dining near Carnegie Hall that we've found.
We've dined here multiple times, and each time the food, the service, and the ambiance have been superb. An innovative and varied menu, and a sound level acceptable to those of us who have trouble hearing in noisy places. A definite must!
Amazing dinner. I had fish and chips and it was unbelievable. The service could not have been better. We had a great time there.
Across Seventh Avenue from Carnegie Hall, this is an easy choice post-concert. It's pricey for what you get, but the food is usually good and healthy. Fresh fish is the way to go.
