Expensive, but great fish and good wine list and good location
I don't live in NYC, but I try to go to Redeye Grill whenever I'm there. The fish is always excellent, and the service is pleasant and attentive. I was originally disappointed that the sea bass Provencal in a clay pot was no longer on the menu - but had the good fortune of being there on a day that it was a special. In Mid Town Manhattan it is a must. The seafood display is something to see. Try the Lobster and Mac as a side and save room for dessert. difintely a do over.
The restaurant was jammed with a pre-theater crowd, and the front desk was overwhelmed.
For a couple of reasons, I made the unfortunate decision to order the vegan dish. It was tasteless. Nevertheless, the cocktails were very good, my companion enjoyed her steak, and the desserts were great. It was very convenient to Carnegie Hall and the service was extremely good.
Great food, service, and decor. A place to impress those who matter, whether it be family, friends, or business associates.
Been to a lot of restaurants in NYC. For being in the middle of Midtown, this restaurant was good. But when you dine at lower west sides intimate restaurants, this was not so good.
the people that you employ are so nice....thank you for that....just to let you know....the Cobb salad was fabulous - onion soup much to salty - the same for the eel sushi.....but having such a wonderful staff was a big plus.....also we were fifteen minutes late for our reservation and with people waiting they held our table...hats off to them
