Great restaurant with great food! The location can't be beat; ask for a table by the window to "people watch"! The entire staff was very friendly. I have been visiting NYC for 15 + years and this without a doubt was one of the best meals I have ever had in the city! Unfortunately, it took 3 tries to get an acceptable table. Granted, it was a busy Saturday early evening. The gentleman at the front desk, Mike, was very professional and did eventually settle us nearer the center of the room away from the wind tunnel at the door and the waiter's station. Certainly one of the best in NYC.
Went there for a business dinner with co-workers and manager. Received a great table after a very hearty greeting at front desk. Waiter was extremely attentive, professional and witty. All enjoyed the food and had a good experience. This was not a foody experience where the dishes were memorable or even noteworthy but not bad either. Expensive, yes but consider location and atmosphere to know why. Are there better places to go? probably but served purpose for us and I did not get flack for suggesting it, so happy about that.
Got there at 6:00pm. Were seated right away by friendly host. Sat there for 30 mins trying to get somebody's attention to order some wine. Finally, a waiter looks at us and says do you need something. We say yes, would like to order some wine. Order two different bottles. Turns out he was not our waiter. We had brunch sitting by the window overlooking Carnegie Hall. It was a great view and the staff were very attentice to our needs. The bread basket was filled with wonderful muffins, coffe cakes, and rice krispie treats for a good morning treat. The portions were plentiful and well made. We would love to go back for a dinner.
Been coming here for years and the food is always great. With all the variety offered on the menu it is a great place to bring clients as they can always find something they will like.
