Love the "Redeye"! Great staff and great food!! Asked for a table by the window and it was ready and waiting for us, early!!
Our party of 7 enjoyed our dinner at Redeye Grill. The restaurant is very attractive and the service was attentive and professional. The night we dined there were a few problems, however. They were out of a few of the more popular items (at 7PM!) including bread. They sent for bread from their sister restaurant and once it arrived it was very good, but you would think a large, well known restaurant in NYC would have their supplies worked out for the week between Christmas and New Years. Great food, unique delicious sushi, dancing shrimp were fantastic. Desserts rather large but amazing as well, and decent wine list. Great experience!
this is the one NYC place I keep coming back to. Great service, reasonable and excellent food, varied menu. The staff, without exception, is very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant quirks (cotton candy, treats passed on trays, sweets on the way out) really make the place charming.
I was 5 days in NYC, and my dinner at the Red Eye Grill of crab cake and jumbo shrimp on a bed of fresh spinich was by far my favorite meal. I told the waiter that we were going to a play after dinner. He suggested items that took longer to prepare. Our food came quickly.
Excellent service - when one of our party was delayed, her order was expedited so that she could enjoy her meal with the rest of the group! And the cotton candy was a nice surprise to end our evening.
We chose Redeye for our NYC family Christmas Dinner. They accomodated our party of eight at a large round table next to a Christmas tree, which made for a cosy setting. Although the food was great, I had the Ceasar salad appetizer and house special Paella, and we shared threee deserts, serice was inconsistent. The person who took our order never quite got things right, and for the rest of the evening the dishes were repeatedly served to the wrong person. Paella was pretty good. A bit crowded and noisy but it was December 23 so was expected.
Excellent choice for dining near Carnegie Hall. (It's across the street.) Dinner is a little on the $$ side, but brunch is more reasonable--and very tasty.
