Always a good meal for a good value
Wonderful to be surprised by complimentary glasses of champagne!
We have eaten here before and brought our 20-something daughters this time. We all loved our food and had a very enjoyable meal.
I had the sesame crusted tuna, which I thought was quite good, my wife had the cobb salad, which she enjoyed. We were on a very tight schedule to catch a show, which we let our waiter know. They had our entres on the table very quickly and made every effort to serve us quickly so we would not be late. Terrific service in that regard!
As usual, we had a great dining experience at the Redeye Grill! My wife noted that we have never had a bad meal there, and we have eaten at the Redeye over a dozen times. It's our primary destination when we come into Manhattan.
We decided to go there to celebrate Mothers Day, expecting just a regular brunch. What we got was a memorable meal that made both moms and kids happy. Mom's were suprised with a glass of champagne as they arrived and a cupcake as they left. Kids were able to get pasta (even though it wasn't on the menu) and fresh out of the oven cookies (still on the baking sheet). Everyone's meal was delicious, and the service was exceptional! Will be adding Redeye Grill to our list of 'regulars.'
I have been to Redeye Grill many many many times...and it is always delicious and that staff is incredibly friendly and accomodating, it's like they've known you for years. This most recent time I was there I was however, disappointed with the slow service. Because I have had such phenomenal experiences there in the past, I would definitely go back, but it was just a little bit disappointing.
It was Mother's Day, and the restaurant felt under-staffed.
From the moment we arrived our party of six felt welcomed. The restaurant was lively with bright decor and service was attentive. We liked the duck quesadilla starter and the fried calamari. Two people ordered the NY Strip which was v good and one person had a burger which "could have been better". But the scallop special and the chilean sea bass were "great" and the sesame crusted tuna was served rare as requested and was v good quality.
