The front porch is perfect for a romantic, quiet dinner. Great menu variety. Very special service on a quiet night.
One of the best bets for dinner before or after Carnegie Hall. Good food and great service if a bit pricy.
If you like seafood, this is the place. Our stone crab was excellent to the king crab scampi. A nice selection of wine. Would definately go back!

I wouldn't call the noise level "energetic." It was just plain loud. Service was spotty.
The quality of the food was very good but overpriced for the portion given. My daughter had a crabcake and a small bowel of clam chowder which was 19.95. The crabcake ( a little bit larger than a silver dollar!) was dwarfed on this giant plate with a small amount of greens. I had to give her one of my seafood kabobs. Each kabob had 2 scallops and 1 shrimp with some griiled veggies.
Make sure to ask how much the specials cost. We assumed that the special would be reasonable priced, but the Dover Sole was $48.00 for a large piece od grilled sole and a few grilled vegetables. It was delicious however.
Redeye consistently delivers good food in a good environment. Even the prices are reasonable for the value. The service is outstanding. They are there when you want them & leave you be when you don't need them. They can get you in & out if you are headed to theatre, but let you comfortably linger if you are not in a hurry. And, best of all, you can hear the people you are with talking. It's is one of the few mid-town restaurants where noise is not an issue. It is always a good choice.
