Our Tonkinese, Daisy, really was in great hands here! We took her to get spayed and chose this location because I grew up in Oak Park and felt comfortable with the location but also because they got other great reviews and their prices were not cheap but not outrageous like in Chicago. Her total procedure was $270 and they gave her invisible sutures so she didn't have to go back for them to be removed. I have brought my two dogs here for the past 10years. I really think that they are great and very qualified vets, but I've been very lucky that my dogs have only ever needed shots, vaccinations, and nail trims. For a young single person, it's expensive for regular vet care, but I think it's worth it so that if ever in the future a crisis presents itself I know my dogs are in the best hands, and that is worth any amount of money.

This is without a doubt the best vet I've ever been to! My dog I'd usually super scared at the vet, but he loved both the place and the people. The doc presented all of the treatment options for my dog's heart murmur (along with the costs) and then told me his recommendations. My dog also needed vaccinations. He discussed each with me and we decided (together) which one's would really be of benefit. As long as I live in Oak Park, I will be a loyal customer! Did I mention the prices are reasonable?

Just had to take my dog in for an emergency visit, and they were very accommodating with the last minute appointment. Dr. McFadden explained every option for treatment multiple times, and explained which one she recommended (which happened to be the cheaper of the options). She even took me to the back to look over the X-rays so I could see what silly thing my dog had eaten. They were very kind to my dog, and actually talked to him and gave him attention instead of just regarding him as a non-speaking patient haha. The... read more

I've been bringing all of my pets to RFAH for more than 20 years. Dr. Junkhe is the best, and the staff is very friendly. If you think they charge more than other places ask them why. I did, and it was explained in detail; my pets are my family and I would rather pay more to make sure my pet survives a surgery or even a teeth cleaning! They give me a 10% discount for bringing in three pets at a time. They accept Care Credit ... I really, really need and appreciate that. I was very pleased with the prompt service, professionalism, and the care they had for my cat. Their fees are definitely on the high end, but it is well worth it--you know your going to get quality care.

This is the first time I've had my own dog to take for vet visits, and so far I'm very happy with RFAH. We've seen both doctors, and they each have fantastic bedside manners. They take the time to answer all your questions, and are willing to work with you to figure out the best course of treatment. The staff is alway friendly, the office is clean (no animal smells!), and everyone is super helpful. This place is great, the facilities are clean, the staff is friendly and cooperative, and Dr. Junkhe has great bedside manor. They took our dog in on short notice, and gave us an estimate before performing any services on him. I found the prices to be very fair. I highly recommend this place.
