This place is racist do not go here Olivia has my son waiting and waiting. He asked for paperwork she stated there is none. Then he asked again she said no paperwork when I came inside asking why she couldn't get the dog she stated appointment is 830 well it's 825 now cancel appointment she hat about paperwork she told me that I would fill it out at my car. This place is a mess. They wouldn't check my dog because she was nervous by people wearing face masks ... could of put a muzzle on her to check her instead they didn't wanna do anything and send her home without helping her while having eye and ear infection. Definitely not coming back here. Really unprofessional vet.

This review is not reflecting the doctors but poorly managed front desk. Several times I had issues with front desk staff. Simply not attentive and no sense of urgency. I asked for someone to fit me in to see my dog as he had serious issues. I called the first thing in the morning. I was told "sorry, go to the emergency hospital in Chicago". My husband and I moved to this area four years ago. I wanted to make sure that I found an exceptional vet just like the one I had back in the city. We chose River Forest because of it's proximity to the house and the reviews that I read at the time. I would say the last few years have been good, though I think some of the Dr.'s could have better bedside manner. Very poor customer service! This was our first time visiting this vet with our new cat, Lucky. We had scheduled an online appointment, but did not realize that it was a "drop off" appointment. When the appointment was confirmed, they did not tell us what kind of appointment we had scheduled. When my wife arrived for the appointment, no one told her what was going on. Seems to be a bit over priced for services provided. Dr. Andrea Kuhen seemed to be a little bit egotistic and a bit cold to my cat. I would imagine the ego of Dr. Kuhen, is due to, her and her husband becoming local "organizers," and political players in Forest Parks local election. I would not recommend Dr. Kuhen to anyone!

Part-time vets make it difficult to get consistent care for my cat. Felt like going to mechanic with car. Based on the problems I told vet my cat was experiencing, she told me she would be back with estimate. Really didn't zero in on the differential diagnosis. Conflicting information depending on which vet was there that day. Charges appeared excessive for the level of care provided compared to other vets. Do not ever send your pets to this place unless you expect to never see them again. My father brought his 5 year old Chihuahua in for a routine procedure to neuter her and she never made it out alive. The hospital called my dad 30 min. after he dropped our dog off saying that "something happened" but they've yet to explain how they killed our dog. I took my dog here several times after I moved to the area and was less than impressed. First, their prices are high. Second, at the initial consultation, the exam was cursory and the doctor seemed to pay very little attention to what I told him. Then, when my dog had a bad reaction to a medication the doctor prescribed for pain (my dog is elderly and has considerable arthritis), the doctor failed to relate to me just how bad the reaction was.
