Absolutely would recommend this restaurant. Matteo was an incredible bartender!!! Get the espresso martini.

I love their carbonara pasta and this is now my fav Italian restaurant in Gaslamp!! Alec was our server and he was so attentive and provided great recommendations for our dinner. The ambiance was so romantic and warm! Would love to return here for a date night vibe or to celebrate a special occasion.

We had a fantastic dinner last night. We shared the lamb chops, artichoke ravioli, branzino, and cioppino, every dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Matt was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel easy and enjoyable. Recommended !!
We were in San Diego for a short trip with family and decided to have dinner here for my mom's birthday. Vibes were good for sure but service was very average. Only the host was friendly and even more attentive than our server. We asked for a glass of hot water and it took 4 tries (asking 3 different people) before we finally got it. When they offered us bread, they didn't tell us it was not free but $3. Not sure if that's for the refill or a flat rate but a heads up would've been courteous. We had such a great experience at Romanissimo. The food was delicious, and the service made the night even better. Matt was amazing super kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. He gave great recommendations and took great care of us throughout the meal. We would absolutely love to have him as our server again next time. We truly enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back.
Francesco was the best! The food was amazing and the service was even better! The carbonara was our favorite.
