First time dining here, and the food and service was fantastic! The ambiance was also so lovely. Great little gem in the heart of Gaslamp -- definitely will be back!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this new Italian restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the personable and friendly hostess, setting the tone for an amazing experience. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was just the right mix of friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. My sever, Shey, really made the night go from a cozy self date, to a night I will remember every time I'm downtown. I'll definitely be back on a date night.

Highly recommend!! The atmosphere is great and the food is outstanding. We had the burrata to start and the cacio E pepe as the main and both were so delicious. our waitress, Shay, was also so kind, provided great recommendations, and was very knowledgeable. We can't wait to come back!!

I come from an Italian background, and just moved from the Bronx to San Diego. It was hard for me to find a good authentic Italian restaurant. But then Romanissimo just opened up downtown San Diego. In a month I've been here 5 times. Their carbonara is phenomenal, as well as everything else they have to offer. Their bartenders Joseph and Marcelo are so accommodating, as well as the servers Shay and Tom. 10 out of 10. Gio will make you feel at home .

The food and the service is just as amazing as the ambience. The oxtail meatballs are to die for & the drinks were delicious. Will come back every time I visit. The bartender & waitress were so accommodating. Can't wait to come back.
