There's a lot to like about Romanissimo. The food I tried was very good and unassuming, and the place was busy on the Sunday night I came, which is always a good sign. I like that the guys behind the bar (and I'm assuming in the kitchen and in the front of the house) have some connection to Rome. Matteo, my bartender, did. And he was very attentive At times, a little too attentive as I'm pretty sure I let it be known I wasn't in a rush to order. The food and drinks are amazing and the service is great! I really enjoyed seating outside as it was a cozy vibe where I enjoyed my delicious cocktail and quick and efficient service, will definitely return when I'm back in town

The ambience was on point, rustic and elegant, The food was other worldly My father was one of the top hundred chefs in the world so I know great food prepared by people who care. Get the artichokes, unique and delicious. The beef cheek agnolotti incredible sauce and they melted in your mouth. Service was attentive but not bothersome. Maria did a fantastic job pacing the meal and making recommendations. Grazie Mille!!!
Maria is a gem! The food she laid upon our table was remarkable! The seafood was so fresh it still tasted of the ocean! The cheese wheel reminded us of experiences in Rome. This place is so authentic it cannot be missed. Ask for a Negron! Or, stay classy with a dry gin Martini, or a house Manhattan, always UP! We will return! Hope to see you there!

Our server Mateo was amazing!! the hostess Savanah very engaging and friendly. Highly recommend the giardino spritz and smoke of the gods cocktails. Food was authentic Italian- we loved it.
The bartender Matteo literally made the BEST espresso martini I've ever had! Perfect blend, not too strong not too sweet! So glad we came here, me and my friends have been searching for a good espresso martini all weekend (we're visiting from out of town) and we finally found a great one! Every-time I'm back in San Diego Romanissimo will be our go to spot! Thanks to Matteo we found the only thing our vacation was missing-- a great espresso!! Pasta was amazing and so was our server! Great experience overall
