Holiday dinner Daughter lives in Phoenix we live in California so after driving 6 hours we met for dinner. Overall I was underwhelmed. Our daughter loves the place and we've been here before but I'll pass on the next time. She had the lobster and I had the fillet & shrimp. She loved the lobster. The steak was good but they have...

2nd visit, Still Excellent Seafood For the first time in a couple of years, we visited the Salt Cellar Restaurant again. As usual, the fare was superb, We began with appetizers of both New England and Manhattan clam chowder (mad with the famous "Quahog", little neck clams. Then the various orders for crab cakes, grouper and lobster. All was excellently prepared. Highly recommend this restaurant...

Wonderful seafood oasis in the middle of the desert We were in the Valley of the Sun for business and my co-worker and I decide to bring our wives along and make it a mini-vacation. He had recommended the Salt Cellar for good seafood, so we made reservations and went. We had no problem getting reservations, probably because it was a Wednesday evening. I can't say how hard it...

Basement Hideaway The Salt Cellar is a upscale, fine dining establishment that looks extremely unassuming from the street view. Upon entering, you descend down a flight of stairs to a smiling reception staff waiting to great you. The server, who was also a part-time bartender was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu and wine offering. I had a grilled swordfish and...

Unique for the desert, but over priced I may be a seafood snob since we live in New England, but they are trying. It must be costly to fly all the seafood in to have it fresh. Lobster at $40 seems outrageous to us, so we opted for oysters and crab cakes. Both were adequate. If you have no way of actually eating seafood anywhere, then the...

A must dining experience I have tried something different every time we have dined here. My wife is stuck on the stuffed lobster. Oh yea, I have enjoyed every dish I have ordered. If you are on a budget, go during happy hour.

Great Seafood-Well Prepared Unique dining, its underground. They only had blue point oysters but they were extremely fresh and clean. Everything on the menu looked good. We had the who.e lobster and the charcoal grilled scallops. They both were prepared perfectly. Also, there are good and reasonably priced.

Unique underground place for a nice dinner We've been here a couple of times and enjoyed the food and service each time. The crab legs couldn't be better! I had them both times. My husban had steak and crab which he thoroughly enjoyed, yes it was cooked just right. They have a small bar that opens before the restaraunt its always bustling in there and I beleive...

Always want to go and not disappointed When you drive up, you see see this small building and then realize that "oh it its in the cellar"! We were early and had drinks in the bar until we were seated for dinner. I had the swordfish with mango salsa. Delicious. My husband had the scallops that were very tasty. Even the bread was good. Our waiter was...
