I can't remember ever writing a review for any consumer product/service but I feel I have to try and warn anyone considering Truist to consider the negative reviews and take them seriously. I used to be a Suntrust customer and loved banking with them. Since they shifted into Truist, I can't imagine a worse banking experience. The app is difficult to use and rarely works smoothly. Since they stuck Suntrust and BB&T together and became Truist, this place is a nightmare. Currently they have mailed out new credit cards to everyone with a card but when you call to activate you are told they are unable to activate - just use your old cards. However! The old cards have stopped working. When I called about that, I was told that is a separate system issue they are having and they have no ETA on when either issue may be resolved. Makes me VERY glad I never trusted this system enough to set up auto pay on anyth... read more

Same situation I am reading in many of the reviews. Was a long time customer over 15 years with ********************** before. Truist is terrible to deal with, took ** over three weeks to have our accounts unfroze, due to fraud from depositing a check from a cellular company that bought a phone from us. Said it was fraudulent and instead of just not depositing the check which they did, they froze all the money in our account. I have had a loan with this company for 5 months and the due date of my payment is the 26th of every month. According to their website, statements for my account are mailed out on the 11th of every month. Every month since my first statement was due, I have had to call in due to my statement not being received. This is the only bill I have an issue of not getting to me on time. Why does the BBB give this bank such a high rating considerabing the **** customer rating resulting from the numerous complaints? Does the fact the bank is a paying member of the BBB have something to do with it? Is it Indifferent to the complaints of the customers and past customers of the organization? Sounds as if their is some bias going on.

boardering on fraud. putting a hold on MY money and sending me a post card to tell me "We have confidential information that indicated the check may be returned and may require an additional review". COMPLETE BS! this check is from an ****** dealership and they guaranteed the issue is with Truist. You will not use this excuse, you now owe me interest on MY money you are holding hostage. Oh, and guarantee this, YOU ARE FIRED!

i have used truist for such a long time. i have called SO MANY TIMES because my card cannot be used online, saying its invalid or expired. now the card (my replacement which they literally told me to do!!!) expires 08/27. still cant use apple pay, cant pay for anything online. just called customer ********************** again today, and they said just use a different machine. to which i responded, it gets declined everywhere what do you mean use a different machine?, to which they said call apple pay, apple pay cant see anyt... read more

I am having a very hard time with this Truist bank. This is the worse bank ever. They need to shut it down. I paid my mortgage with interest in 2022 on time, and monthly. To date, I can't file my 2022 tax because truist bank refuses to give me my ****. They claimed I paid $0 interest. I have been on the phone with them since March 2023, to date, no one from their office can help. I may have to take them to court because I have proof that I paid my mortgage interest. Please stay away from Truist Bank.

Lets just say they messed up my whole account for two months I finally get into my account and I was doing a promotion where I would get $400 for opening account. They got my address wrong so many times they misunderstood me on the phone. I went into the branch three times and my address was still messed up after even writing it down.
