I was impressed with the quality, efficiency, and communication.
Finish the garage. Have more spacious living room area for full furniture and bar chairs. More functionality in bathrooms and closets.
It was a pleasure to work with them. We are enjoying our new home.
I think the best thing that could be done, would be to increase or allow direct communication between the Builder and customer without having to go through a sales agent, especially if a customer requested it, simply because some of us, like myself, have experience in construction, therefore allowing for better communication and understanding whereas having to go through a middleman can cause confusion, delay communication, and things may not be translated and understood the same. Smith Douglas Homes - Nashville provided great service. The personnel are geniuses.
Some flexability in choices with selections but not all of what I wanted. A lot of choices are either/or. Contract is very strict and needs to be studied very carefully before signing. Lots of particulars that definitely favor the builder such as using their attorney and title company(which SDH has significant ownership in) and fees for date changes,etc.. The sales team was very knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful.
We liked the designs and floor plan, which met our needs and expectations. As well as the location and layout of the subdivision. Also, our positive experience with the interactions with personnel and the whole process.
After only being in our home for one month, the ceiling in the living room has waves and looks like it is sagging in.
