We worked remotely with Smith Douglas Homes from Phenix City, Alabama. My brother served as my advocate here in Broadway.
I absolutely loved working with Lara. She made my buying experience easier. However, I would not recommend a Smith Douglas home only because the builder does not sod the entire back yard. Paying $10K for a lot premium and not having the entire back yard sodded is not acceptable. Especially when you must pay a lot premium. On top of that, with all the heavy rain we experienced, all the grass seeds and straw washed away - leaving my back yard muddy.

The experience working with Smith Douglas Homes- Alabama was really good. Jennifer, Dana, and Brent were really sweet and kind and helped answer any questions me or my husband had.
I love the people I’ve worked with. Steven has been phenomenal in responding to all my questions and he was extremely thorough in his explanation of everything. The only thing I am disappointed in is the quality of the flat white paint used. It is simply put, “terrible”. It chips off and you can’t clean it. I also have already noticed that the baseboards feel like construction paper and are already looking terrible from mopping my floors. There is no way these are real wood.
