I am giving Sport Mazda a one-star rating because there is no provision to give it zero stars. I came in for an $80 synthetic oil change, and came out paying $237. To add insult to injury, if I did what they told me I needed, it would have cost me $290 more. I have a Mazda 6 that is less than two years old and has fewer than 20,000 miles on it. Prices are way too expensive even compared to another Mazda dealership in the area. Original price of oil change was about $20.00 more and the throttle body cleaner was $140.00 more expensive…I will be getting my service done elsewhere from now on.
I don't typically post nor do I post negative experiences, but since the dealership asked....I made a service appointment on Monday for a Thursday timeslot to have my oil changed and my engine air filter replaced. I was VERY specific in making the appointment. I arrived a half hour before my appointment at 11:30 a.m. I went to get lunch and returned to the dealership at 1:30 to discover that the dealership has been experiencing 3 to sometimes 4 hour delays! Attempt to “upsell” unnecessary services, not recommended by manufacturer. Unwilling to assist with installation of part purchased at their dealership, with technician lacking knowledge as to the specifics of said part. Disappointing
terrible customer service Very bad customer service, they changed companies and there are not many services in the system.
If you don’t mind being ripped off for an oil change (small car, 4 quarts oil) costing $90+, this is the place to go. I have had my car serviced at this facility since I purchased it from Don Mealy Mazda in 2006. I paid $35 in 2019 for an oil change. When I asked why the cost is now 3x more, I was told it was because the dealership is under new ownership. What? I left without any service being performed. Glad I asked about price up front. This formerly loyal customer will never return.
Sport Mazda North was very disappointing. What is advertised on their website was not what I received as a customer. Sales was fine up until we purchase the car and on the third day the vehicle showed a check engine light on the car. We drove to sport Mazda to see if the service department can have it checked and they state that because the check engine light was not on at the time there was nothing we can do. I purchased the car on a Saturday. I had my own financing set up through Vystar. I called Vystar on Monday to verify everything and that is when I was told that the loan was set up through the dealership and not directly through Vystar and myself. Long story short, Bud Daley financed the loan through the dealership without telling me. When I asked why did I have to fill out a membership application for Vystar and he said that they just like to have it on file.
