Worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. Super slow . Took days to respond to anything. Asked for the same documents over and over. I sent over paystubs, W2s, previous tax returns and gave my departments direct line. They still didnt believe I was employed and took weeks asking for a signed letter from my employer verifying my employment and hours and told me the number I gave them for my job was incorrect. Sunwest charged me twice in July 2020 for my mortgage payment and then refunded both when I owed my normal monthly. Then they argued that they never did that when I have proof. Im on a fixed income and it took me a year to finally get my account up to date. I want to refinance but no one will respond to me or my lender who is an employee of sunwest! Theres no reason I cannot refinance yet no one will help me. The worst customer service and they ruined my credit because of the double charge.

Sunwest Mortgage seemed not to care about the toll covid 19 placed on me or my family. It seemed to me that they never tried to help me during bad times. Sunwest Mortgage cared more about placing negative reports on my credit than anything else. Even as I closed on my home they still continued to give negative statements on my credit report. I would never use Sunwest again...

Definitely the worst company I have dealt with. My loan officer kept making mistake on my loan thereby pushing the closing further by 30 days. Had to request for a different one. Same thing happened. Further pushed the closing date. Communication was horrible. I had to call and email them several times and if I was lucky to get a response, I had to spend so much time giving them the same information which I had already provided. TERRIBLE!!!I don't if it's just the company or some of the people that work within the company. My loan officer misinformed me and misguided me throughout the entire process of my refinance. Informed me I would be closing on specific dates that changed month after month. Informed me I didn't need to make current mortgage payments as they would be included in the closing. I do wish I would have taken a better look at ******* reviews prior to engaging in business with this company. The initial customer ratings look impressive, but if you look closely all the 5 stars reviews are from 2019 and prior, with only one 5 star review coming in 2020. The remaining reviews from 2020-2021 are all 1 star. Let me start by disclosing that ultimately we did not qualify to refinance due to the fact we had missed mortgage payments due to ***** forbearance. They waste your time by asking for all the documents. When rates go up they tell you your loan cannot be approved. They cannot approve people with credit score of 759. Pathetic company.

Very disappointing experience with this company. I started a refinance in late December 2020. Initial contact and communication was fine. I always replied promptly and uploaded all the requested documentation when asked. Things seemed to be moving along and then just stopped. I missed my first rate lock date and was sent a revised closing document that asked me to cover the cost.
