This company is a SCAM -forced you to pay appraisal fee $500 -would quote you a low rate then increase it during the underwriting process -would add fees during the underwriting process I recently try to refinance mortgage with Sun West/Low Rates. They are the worst and lowest company ever! Their loan officer, Adam S***, talks a positive game but when it comes down to it the company has so many departments and no one can do anything about anything. It's always the other department or the management. Just like Krysta H**** the "relationship manager". She's in CA, and Adam was in AR. I applied to refinance in November 2020 , was approved early December. Process dragged on through February 2021 with requests for documentation I had already provided. Jacob W***** and LowRates / SunWest was not able to assign appraiser until February- when i learned LowRates would not extend the rate lock due to their delays. Completely wasted a month of my time claiming to "blow all other offers out of the water" only to continuously fight bogus fees and added costs. I was actually asked on more than one occasion to sign documents being sent to underwriters that contained the wrong numbers. The agent stated that he would correct the numbers after the loan was approved!

An awful, time consuming experience. Very unprofessional - total clown show. Sean Kennedy dragged the process on for FOUR months and still had not gotten it down. My processor completely disapeared 3 months into the process and the new person forced us to start all over re-providing docs already provided weeks before. Then, after 4 months of waiting they demanded a 2020 P&L statement (I applied in Oct of 2020) which would have added another couple of weeks to get from my accountant. Worst bank ever been trying to close on a house in puerto rico which its a va loan and we have been discriminaited by all means and lied to after telling us we were approved and were gonna close on the house on 2 seperate date they keep lieying to us and ran our credit 2 times worst bank dont use them

We were already customers ofSun West mortgage. We decided to refi the beginning of November 2020 since wage rates were so low and use Sun West to do it. Here we are in the middle of January 2021 and their processing department has drug their feet on obtaining everything needed to complete our slam dunk VA refi for us. They have taken two months just to try to get a payoff on our second mortgage. I recently tried to do a mortgage refinance through ************, which is actually Sun West Mortgage. Beware of both companies. My appraisal was severely undervalued even though the property is brand new and appraised for a much higher value less than a year ago. Sun West was of no help whatsoever and their dispute "process" was to simply send supporting information back to the original appraiser, David T******* (CMA Appraisal, near Austin, TX), who then lowered the value again.
