The accommodations were below standard. I would not recommend this facility.
We are a blended African American family of 6 and was sent to a racist area! We were the only minorities in the entire town, we were stared and laughed at. Instead of enjoying a week a way from the city, we spent our time explaining to our 7 and 10 year old what racism means. They were so sad. Most homes had big stars and or Confederate flag up. I will never vacation with this company again! Big Mistake!
As usual your units are nicely appointed but just not clean. I was sure to send a photo to Tan and have already spoken with them. The drip pan on the stove was filthy. I was afraid to use it as my concern was fire due to the caked on grime. The primary bathroom floor had no rug in front of the sink but the rubber from the bottom of the mat that was probably there previously was stuck to the floor. Not nice! We stayed in Building #1, Unit #1 from 9/7/18 to 9/14/18. This was at least the 3rd time we have stayed in this unit. I again filled out another Maintenance and Housekeeping comment sheet with some of the same concerns that I have written down before. It would be good if someone actually fixed the items reported. Had to call for access to condo.Weeds everywhere. Mold in the bath tub . Rusted vent in bathroom. Dirty outside shower. Later if dust on fans in bedrooms.
The unit did not have AC, smelled bad, stained carpets and sofa, spiders and outlets did not work in bathroom. After 4 hours we were moved into a much nicer unit.
Where to begin? The unit A22 at the resort in Hilton head island was one of the worst places I've seen. The fact that it was even available to rent was amazing. We had a late check in on Saturday night and by the time we got our 2 year old son fed and in his pack'n'play he discovered that the u it was crawling with roaches and filthier than any place I have been. When we arrived we found many items needed repair. Unit needed cleaning, We were there 2 weeks. Maid dropped off clean towels after first week, and did no cleaning. Already did a survey and requested someone to give us a followup call. No such call was received. Past 10 rentals had a welcome starter packett, but not this time.
