This is our second time dining at the Commodore in the last two months. We love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially since I am gluten free. It was the first place we thought of for a special celebration, which happened to be each dining experience. The menu included a nice range of items in both price and cuisine, and amounts for some items were generous enough that a couple could split if getting an appetizer and salad. We definitely will go back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner Sat night. Had the special - sole, excellent. Wait staff friendly , fast not obtrusive, or rushed. Great ambience. Noise on the high side - people were enjoying themselves. The historical connection to the likes of Scott Fitzgerald is just a happy bonus, if you are in St Paul go there, if you're not then come to St Paul so you can

When it’s your birthday, you get to choose. Being St. Paul people we are attracted to all things F. Scott Fitzgerald and few things are more F. We were plunked on... read more

The atmosphere sets the tone for a fabulous dining experience. We ordered as an appetizer fried risotto balls that were crisp on the outside and smooth and creamy on the inside....delicious. The shrimp cocktail smaller than expected and not cold. But a generous amount. Had the squash soup - just the right temperature and blend of flavors. The steak was fabulous and melted in your mouth. Will be back for the dining experience and atmosphere!

Loved the ambiance; as a life long St Paulite, appreciate the décor and history. Ease of parking, cheerful greeting, great service (our wait person was friendly and kind to us; as one of our diners has dementia); delicious food and great wine. Pleasant experience all around. Will come back.
