A step back in time, but at the same time so contemporary. A great mix of both, but it works. Libations were wonderful as were the appetizers, entrees and desserts. We did it up right and bought a gift certificate for xmas for friend to enjoy:)

The classy retro atmosphere was all I expected but the four of us had very good dinners..flavors, presentation and selection. Service was excellent!

The Commodore is a beautiful historic restaurant. It's worth visiting to get a feel for the 1920s era. The ambiance is great for dates or special occasions. That being said, the food was mediocre. Nothing we had was bad, but nothing was exceptional. I would not re-order any of the appetizers or main courses that we ordered.

We started with a tuna tartare which was among the best we have had. The wedge salad and the butter lettuce salad were both excellent. The pork chop was moist and flavorful the tenderloin was done just right. All in all an excellent experience, we will come again

This restaurant takes one back to early Prohibition....the marble, etc makes for some higher noise levels but strangely enough - it does not interfere with conversation at the table over martinis....:) Food was lovely.....love it!

We loved seeing the "new" Commodore. My husband worked there in the 1970's so it was a trip down memory lane for him. The refurbishment is wonderful, keeping the historic elements, but making the dining room and bar comfortable as well
