Completely agree with the 1-star reviews that have come before mine. My last experience with them was over 2 years ago, and it still burns me up, thinking of how rude, unknowledgeable, and incompetent they are. I had an apartment in Brookline that was sold to the Hamilton Company mid-lease. If you rent from the Hamilton Company you will come to regret it. I lived in 81 Essex Street and it was one of my worst experiences living in Boston. First, the building itself has major flaws. The elevator is constantly breaking down, the laundry and trash units in the basement are kept in horrible and unsanitary conditions, and the building literally smells awful. 1 star is being extremely generous. Regarding the courtyard apartments This has to have been the worst management company I have ever dealt with in the 8 years I have lived in Boston. I signed a 1 year lease and wanted out after 1 month. Their lease states that they have 30 days to do any repairs, paint, etc. Ok fine, our super had had surgery so he could not do it immediately. unfortunately i did not how poorly this company managed their building when i bought a condo in watertown. WORST MANAGEMENT COMPANY. the property management /manager does minimal. and when they do it is very brief and not personal at all. being in real estate myself it is ridiculous some of these people have jobs. it is embarassing to have guests over sometimes. the trash area is always a mess with the doors wide open, couches are thrown in there...disgusting. there are electrical boxes adhered to the building that the door... read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!! I've heard some bad stuff about the Hamilton Company before but I thought those were probably rumors and totally took them oh-ever-so-lightly. and boy did I regret for my stupidity. I live at the apartment buildings 1144-1160 Commonwealth Ave. The Hamilton Company is Okay, Whenever we have a problem with the building they respond somewhat fast and is so far taken care of within the following few days. On the other hand, We rented from Comm. Ave Associates they are absolutely HORRIBLE would never reccomend to anyone, We looked at the apartment three times within the one day before renting it was in terrible condition the kitchen was an absolute disgrace!!
