I CANNOT WRITE A WORSE REVIEW ABOUT THIS RENTAL COMPANY. I absolutely have had the worse experience with these guys, AVOID THEM at ALL COSTS. This is a genuine and honest review. I have never cared to write anything negative since I work in the service industry, in fact, I try to fill about surveys and say nice things all the time even if service was not the best I ever had. They are terrible, unorganized, do not return phone calls or emails, and several times have even dodged me when I go to their office in person, and thi... read more

Never Give Hamilton a chance to help you find the new apartment. The most terrible real estate in the world!! My roommate and I signed the contract for our new apartment in May! However, we just found out that the current residents also extended their contract last week. The way Hamilton saved this problem is letting the current resident keep the apartment, even though we signed the contract "three months" before them and giving us another apartment, which might not be as good as the original one. This solution is the worst ... read more

The Hamilton company contracts with an extraordinarily aggressive towing company (Franks) to remove vehicles without any warning at all, and they don't provide any guest parking (at least at 66 Homer Ave. in Cambridge). Do you want your guests and visitors facing $143 towing bills when they're just stopping by briefly? If so, then considering renting from these folks. If that sounds rude to your guests, then consider renting from more reasonable landlords.

Save yourself the time and money...go rent elsewhere. Came in to the apartment with the last tenant still living there. It took the company 4 days after the move in date to paint the place and another 2 weeks to fix whatever was broken. Had to clean the apartment ourselves, they failed to send someone to clean up after the paint job. Parking is limited and they love to tow. I will never rent from them again. Expensive, foul smelling, and horrible maintenance of the building.

Worst company ever! To start off we signed our lease in the middle of June for move in July 1st to the courtyard at north beacon. When we arrived to our apartment (in what seems to be the nicest of their properties) we noticed they hadn't done any maintenance or clean up of the place from previous tenants. The carpets hadn't been cleaned and things were dusty. Although I have to give them credit for filling maintenance request in a timely manner that is the only good thing about this company. Our broker gave us the keys to t... read more

If I could put 0 stars, I would. The apartment itself wasn't bad. Is it worth the rent, though? Absolutely not. Pros: Situated close to South Station, the red line, the green line and the orange line. Surrounded by great restaurants and stores, close to various colleges, and near the Commons. Cons: The fact that it's above a restaurant that is open and serving food and alcohol until 4 AM. The parking lot remains open all night (don't believe the sign that says it closes!). I've had to call the police many times because... read more

The Hamilton Company is HORRIBLE. If you can avoid it, do yourself a favor and do not rent from them. They hold a monopoly on apartment buildings in high demand areas in and around Boston and, accordingly, apparently don't feel the need to offer anything in the way of service or even common courtesy to their tenants. You don't like it? Screw you - there's a line of people who will gladly take your apartment if you want to leave, so... see ya. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. That's the attitude you'll get from them... read more

We have lived in a Hamilton property on Parkman St in Brookline for almost 2 years now and cannot wait to move in 7 weeks. First, we moved in Nov 2011 and they asked if we could do a 10 month lease. Our rent upon moving in was $1875, they raised it by $100/mo in Sept 2012 (we thought, okay, no biggie.) Then, we get a notice that Sept 2013 it will go up to $2275. So, in less than 2yrs rent is going up $400/mo?? Also, parking went up about the same percentage. Additionally, last year we received two eviction notices last year.... read more
