Since the begging it hasn't been all that great. I was told that the house I got was the only house they could offer me otherwise I would be left with no house and would have to wait. So, having no choice, I had to get the house that I now have. Which is not bad since it was one of the renovated ones, that was the good part. So since this was the only house I could get, I just went with the flow and decided to make the best of it. My surprised was when I realized that even though is a renovated home, the appliances are old. ... read more

I don't mind living on post, however the customer service skills are always hit or miss. We've had many issues with our electricity bill and were paying $50-$70 a month. I addressed this issue with the housing and they told me that's just how it is. After 6 to 7 months of complaining and two energy audits, they finally figured out the problem and reimbursed us for small amount of what we had paid. We now get a check from conservice every other month, so it is a little disappointing to know that housing does not go above and ... read more

We love living on post, but the house and space we have is not worth the BAH. We cannot fit both of our cars in the driveway. Our truck is parked within 4 feet of our front door, so there is little to no room to move around or look out the front door or windows. This is a security risk, in my opinion. Parking cars from the 4 houses is similar to a bad game of Tetris. We do not have a front yard at all and our backard is significantly smaller than our neighbors who are not in a quad. I am not a fan of the quads at all.

I have been on Fort Benning for 1yr and have never lived on any military installation, so this is the first. First off, the play grounds in the McGraw Village are horrible, they are infected with bug, the wood is falling apart on most and most of the play grounds are made out of bars with no slides swings or actual playground things, if you go over one neighborhood to Custer village on the other hand the have really nice play grounds with swings, many slide and the up keeping in that neighborhood is great. In my opinion I do... read more

Love the convenience of living on post. Not impressed with the availability based on rank. My BAH is higher than those of equal rank and I cannot get an extra room so I have to pay out of pocket for storage. An enlisted Soldier with one dependent gets the same size home as me and at another duty location someone with less dependents and same rank is authorized more rooms than I am here. Maintenance has been prompt and Ms. Bell and her team at Custer Management have been great.
