Worst Vet office ever, if you love your dog, don't take them here. I took my dog here because he cut his paw and the vet said he needed antibiotics. The antibiotics was $40 dollars for 28 pills, I asked to have a prescription written for me. She immediately got an attitude and told me she didn't have time to write the prescription. So, I went online and order the medication for it to be approved and when the company called the vet, they told them they would call them back and never called. I had to call the vet twice to ge... read more
I really shouldn't even be giving them a one star but I am because the first visit, the doctor let my daughter listen to our dogs heart. Which she thought was really cool. But be careful here. They want you to keep purchasing the puppy package every single visit and you must bring your puppy in every 3-4 weeks to get their shots. I have not ever had to do this before with puppies. I only tried this place to try to save money but in the long run, you're spending more. On our second visit, They also took my dog in the back a... read more
Came in to day due to a emergency with my dog, walked in the receptionist was extremely lax and had no sense of hurry. When we told her what was going on she turned us away because they were booked for the day. How can you tell pet owners that their emergency situation isn't important enough to be looked at. Ridiculous really. The unprofessionalism is absolutely unreal.
Horrible service and i feel like the DR didnt help us with our situation. She was more towards the negative side and didnt provide us enough info that we needed. I regret coming here and i wish i never had! Big mistake! Dr. Barker was also rude and disrespectful.
Great for vaccines! DO NOT EVER HAVE DENTAL SERVICES DONE HERE. They don't have the equipment to do proper dental cleanings let alone extractions. It's downright dangerous to have your cat or dog's dental care done here. They are safer with their broken teeth than with the procedures done halfway.
I have a chihuehua that I took the the clinic on FM 1960 close to 290 in Houston. They offered a 99.99 all test, shots, and check up. They gave her all her required shots along with a heartworm shot that lasted for 6 months. I ask them 3 times if they would let me know when she was due for her next shot. Time past, I had to deal with my Mother who was in and out of the hospital for health issues during this time and lost her the 1st of August. I kept wondering if my dog needed more meds for the heartworms but hadn't heard f... read more
I hate when I have to give a place a bad review and the worst part is that the review isn't bad because of the vet. I took my dog there for some bumps and a general check up. The vet was great with him. She took her time, answered our questions and got him taken care of. The issue is with whoever is suppose to return calls. I have called now three separate times to try to get my other dog in there but no one has called me back at all and no one has answered the phone. I know they are busy as most places are, but that's no re... read more
A month ago a "low cost" veterinarian - (North Austin Zippivet location) told me Pumpkin, my 2.7 year old kitty, has something called Stomatitis and the only way we can take her out of pain and help her is by extracting all of her teeth. She then prescribed antibiotics and painkillers (costing $60), drew blood (not in my presence and without explaination, for another $10). I then received an estimate for her "necessary" surgery costing $2,500-3,000. Two weeks later, we visited another "affordable vet" - (this Thrive Afforda... read more
Most of us are budget-conscious, and no one, even people who are well off want to spend more than they have to to get the care that you need for their pet. When my dog was younger and didn't need much, I took him to Austin Pets Alive/Emancipet where they did a wonderful job of checking him over for $5. Stocked up on my heartworm and flea prevention and off I went, even got his teeth cleaned for about $100 too! Then Austin Pets Alive/Emancipet stopped doing dentals, and yes, both my dogs have not gotten the dental care the... read more
