Don't be more than 5 minutes late or they won't allow you in! I drove an hour when I had an emergency apt for my dog, I hit some construction on the way so gave a curtesy call to let them know I was running 10 minutes behind and they made me reschedule. They also said there wasn't anything available for another month. My dog needed to be looked at for 5 minutes. This two hour trip was a waste and no one could help me out.
Business response:
Hi Emily, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry your experience with our location didn't match expectations. We will be following up with our clinical and management team about your experience, and if you would like to provide any further information, please feel free to reach out to our customer service at woof@thrivevet.com.
I cannot believe I am writing this. We took our 8 year old male husky here a month ago after he started to lose hair around his neck and wasn't eating. We were told the problem was he was not fixed and we needed to fix him. One month later we are cremating our family pet. Thrive's negligence and downplay of our dogs health problem turned out to be a very serious kidney infection that was caught too late. He died alone and in pain at another vets office who desperately tried to save him. This establishment is filled with the... read more
I took my lab in for what I thought might of been a yeast infection, due to the smell. I didn't like the way we were greeted by the nurse. As soon as she came in the room. She started to tell me how many times to feed him, walk him, brush him bathe him, as if I wasn't doing so already. After judging me for the way that my dog smelled, I was told it was allergies, and he needed blood work. They prescribed apoquel. But no antibiotics. It made my dogs pee brown and super stinky. Instead of him getting better he lost a lot of we... read more
My dog had to be taken to an emergency hospital and have stitches put around her eye. We have used Thrive over the years so we made an appointment to have the stitches removed with Thrive. We took the dog into thrive on 2/12 and they wanted to leave the stitches in another week. We mad an appointment to have them removed on 2/19. The snow and ice struck that week. We received a confirmation text from Thrive on Thursday 2/18 confirming the appointment on 2/19. We said yes and it was confirmed. We were shocked that the ... read more
Should be negative 5 stars. Called to ask about one of us being with our dog during the exam. Celina answered the phone and was very rude. Her attitude with my wife shows that she does not want to be there. My advice is to put her out of her misery and terminate her employment. I called and talked to Killeen. She was very pleasant to talk to. She left a message for the vet or technician to call us. I received a call from the technician and was given the riot act and Covid history lesson. She said that we could not be with ou... read more

Hi Mr. Alan, We were remiss to hear that you cancelled your appointments upon speaking with our technician about our COVID-19 service updates. We understand that pets can be stressed or suffer from behavior concerns, here at THRIVE we strive to provide low stress handling when possible. Therefore, medication was presented, as an option had your pet exhibited a need for the medication upon visiting the practice. I apologize if at any point there was a misunderstanding or perception of lack of respect, we are following CDC g... read more
Thrive is absolutely not up front about their policies or pricing. Once you're locked into a membership there's no way to talk directly to the clinic you go to (you get a call center) and appointments are booked out 2 weeks. Their "puppy package" included things I didn't want or ask for, including a fecal, but I paid for it. Then when I did need to bring one in, they told me I'd waited too long and made me pay another $45 for one. Bad communication, poor customer service. Prices aren't low enough to make up for that.
If you have an animal that needs to be seen right away this is not the place. I called to get my pet in and I could not get in for two weeks. I need a vet that I can get into when my animal is sick.
Business response:
Hi Cyn, we are very sorry that we were unable to see your pet when you called in. Our main goal at THRIVE is preventative care and as such, emergencies and very sick pets that are needing to be seen in a timely manner, and that we cannot see due to availability, are referred to an emergency/more urgent clinic. We do appreciate this feedback though and we will be sure our management team is aware of your experience.
UPDATE: I am updating my review to say that I am very disappointed in Thrive and I will no longer take my pets there. My dog was very sick, but when I called in to make an appointment, they said they were booked out for 2 weeks. (He was vomiting, not eating, and clearly didn't feel well.) That is unacceptable to me. Because he was so sick, I called my old vet, where my other pets have gone. Guess what? They were also booked, BUT THEY SQUEEZED HIM IN! That is what a good vet does (as well as human doctors). It's a good thin... read more

This round rock location deletes patient information. I tried calling to get me dog some of the flea medicine she takes and they couldn't look me up in their system. I've been there multiple times in the past so little confused on why they couldn't look me up. Now they're trying to get me to make an appointment to prescribe what she already was prescribed!
Business response:
Hi Ryan! I am very sorry to hear about this negative experience, but would like the opportunity to look into this further for you and find your account. Can you email me with your account information, as well as any potential alternate information (names, numbers) so I can look into this further for you? My email is woof@thrivevet.com.
