This place has went downhill - what happened? They used to be affordable but not now - $200 for yearly vaccines (including heartworm). I confirmed in advance it would be $89 for the visit including exam & all required vaccines. When goy here they then told me $200 - the answer I got was our call center puts out bad info all the time. Bait & switch. Customer service had diminished here. We were asked about flea protection 3 times including 2 times by vet during exM. My first reply was that she's an inside dog yet they persist... read more

I HAD 4 large dogs on a VIP monthly plan and I called the Round Rock office to get an emergency visit for my 14 year old cat and of course after being on hold, I get the answer of no appointments for 2 weeks. WHAT! I was upset and speaking to a newly hired employee who couldn't even provide me with a number for corporate or an address. I've had good experiences with the vets in the THRIVE network. However, that has little value if you can't get an appointment when your pet is unwell. Wait time on appointments is over a week all over town, so unless you are just needing routine, wellness, this isn't a great place to establish your vet care. I'm frustrated that I have to shop for a new vet.

If customer service, communication, compassionate care, or responsible follow up is important to you, find a neighborhood vet, and avoid this place. Their voice mail box has been full for months and when someone finally answered, they had the nerve to say "well you shouldn't have waited until the last minute, there is nothing we can do now". This place does not provide affordable pet care in any way, shape, or form! I took my dog to them and ya sure the vet fee of $30 is not very expensive at all sure but when you get in there they immediately put you into an exam room which is cool and fast! My experience with the tech that white guy who has no person skills, it's almost like telling this dude if you hate your job then work somewhere else. Make sure you pick up your meds for your pup that same day OR they'll put your pets meds back in stock THEN charge you full price for half the meds. Lol had they told us earlier we would've ordered from someone else. Not great standard to run my card then tell me we owe you half the meds... sorry.
Well I was going to thrive when I lived in Austin, TX and of course at first it was great because I was spending less than I was used to BUT you definitely get what you pay for. My dog was sick and had been for awhile and we did every test and they kept saying nothing was wrong until I just knew something was up so I took her to my family vet in Plano, TX and they did one X-ray and found a huge mass in her spleen and she had to go into emergency surgery. She is fine now but I will never go to thrive again, I'm not convinced ... read more

My wife called to check the price of teeth cleaning for our dog. We were told the consultation was $25. Nothing was mentioned about the need for blood work and what that cost would be. Also, we were given a much lower cost of teeth cleaning than what we were told when we went in. Not even in the ballpark. We will not be using their services.

The front desk person has the personality of a slug! Stuck us in a room to sit on a hard bench for over thirty minutes and gave us no explanation for the wait. We left and they were stupid enough to send me an email thanking me for my dogs visit...seriously! Will never go there again!!!
