NOT AFFORDABLE! Do not take your pets here thinking they are more affordable!!! They overcharge for medicines (on purpose, according to them), like cytopoint injections even though the Zoetis website has the correct dosing and MSRP prices. Why would you charge a customer purposely for 2x 10mg vials at $58.60 each instead of the correct dosage according to the manufacturer, which is 1x 20mg vial at a cost of $66.90 each. I moved to Texas 2 year ago, and the first Vet Clinic near me at that time was Thrive Vet Care Louis Henna Blvd, Round Rock. Although their reviews were ok, I took my dog here for convenience. So I brought my dog here for needed vaccines. Later I realized that my dog had allergies and his arteritis was back, so I made an appointment with the same clinic and Vet. My Chihuahua was recently diagnosed there with an enlarged heart. They couldn't tell me the extent of the damage without a $300 x-ray, which I couldn't afford. I decided to play it by ear, and when it was time to let him go, I would schedule it. He started collapsing and then seizing, then he'd get up like nothing had happened. Update: I had a mobile vet come and treat my cat. Turns out the 2 teeth that the Thrive vet noticed have gotten much worse and need to come out. I called 6 vets and understandably none of them would agree to do the extractions without an initial visit. I am on disability with a fixed income and so I swallowed my pride for my cat and called Thrive as they have seen her and already know about her teeth situation. Eh. I wish I could give five stars but the care was just okay....My dog came in for two different problems- ear infection and possible cyst on rectum... 1. Firstly, they examined our dog in another room. They told us they could not exam her in front of us, which I thought was strange. There was an exam table literally in the room 2. They informed us that they were unable to examine her rectum, because my dog "tried to bite her". Weconfirmation of the appointment. We did not. My son had to call to confirm, then was left on hold for almost an hour before giving up and disconnecting the call.Then 1 hour prior to the appointment we received a call because previous records "could not be located". Arrived at the clinic, with the pet waiting in the car due to her severe anxiety and behavioral issues (non-stop barking). Literally the worst experience I have ever had. My appointment was canceled because I didn't confirm it. The phone number read off to me is not mine. When I showed them my profile it has the correct phone number. Didn't care. Was told I had to wait an undetermined amount of time for a vet. Couldn't tell me how long. I drove 30 minutes in 104 degree weather for what? Rude staff, no one helps me understand what happened, no timeframe given as to how long I would have to wait. Horrible.

I honestly cannot recommend you to take your pet here .. I had been going to this vet ever since I got my first cat in September 2020, I have had good experiences with it but nothing that stood out as amazing but overall just nice people and a small but clean clinic . The first red flag was that at any sign of discomfort when visiting the clinic they would recommend us to give out cat an anti anxiety medication. This place is the worst, I had an appointment at 8:15am. I arrived at 8:10 and checked in on my phone and filled out a questionnaire at that time, I walked into the building at 8:22 and they refused to see me. The lady at the counter was a rude as well. Guess they really don't care about your pets, stay away from this place.
