I just referred a friend, but have now pulled both my pets records and am going elsewhere. I was initially very happy with my experiences at Tigard Animal Hospital, Dr. Miller is fabulous. However, I was quoted $320 for a cyst removal on my cat, I asked for an updated estimate once the surgery had been scheduled and sent in a photo. I never got an updated estimate. The vet doing the procedure (Dr. Genova) was late that morning and unable to see my cat when I dropped him off, so I again was told, "well this is the estimat... read more

I had been taking my cats there for over 10 years but they have changed and not for the better. My most recent experiences were that after a visit in November last year they "discovered" they had not charged me the full amount. They claimed to have called me about it - they did not. It was most suspicious circumstances - and I balked at them simply tacking on these extra charges the next time I was in to buy food. In addition, the man at the front desk handling this was quite snarky and barely civil. They then went on t... read more

Ok, So I have positive experiences with TAH in the past. In fact, i take my dogs (2) there every year for their booster shots from Vancouver Washington because they have always been a good vet. however, my last visit with them was this week, and it will be my last ever. I got an estimate a while back for an FHO surgery my dog needed. its only good for 30 days, and i needed an updated quote to 'pull the trigger' and get the surgery scheduled. I was told that i needed to come back in for a consultation to get an updated q... read more

We inherited our cat from a family member who was moving and couldn't take the cat with her and went to Tigard Animal Hospital for the reduced cost spay program. Unfortunately, I experienced the same "upsell" that many of these other reviewers have mentioned - a full page of better anesthesia options, better wound care, insertion of a tracking chip etc, etc. Despite my telling them up front that I could only afford to pay for the spay they insisted on reading every single one of the options, making me say 'no' to each one in... read more

I have been taking my cockapoo Princess here since she has has been going to this vet even before I adopted her. Three years ago I was happy with the service but something has changed. The friendly, caring receptionists are gone. The nurturing vets are gone. Now it's run as a money making business not a Vet clinic that that watches out for your pet's best interest. I walked out with a bill close to $400 because they extracted 8 teeth from Princess without calling me ahead of time. Like I had $400 extra to spare in my mon... read more

Don't let all of the good reviews fool you. They pay to remove all the bad reviews. I know this because every time they send me mail it reminds me of my cat that is now dead and the bad experience I had. Yes they keep sending me mail even though my cat is dead. I took my sick cat here with a heart condition. They then put my cat under a running printer. Then they told me that he needed all new shots and a poop sample even though I had proof that he had is shots. Then before I left they tried to sell me some horribly expensiv... read more

Pet owners, please do not take your loved furry friends to this clinic. We have been patrons of TAH for over 7 years now. We forgave them in the past for negative experiences, however, today was our last visit we will ever make to TAH with our cat and dog. We will make sure our friends and family avoid this place at all cost. TAH seems to be well overpriced, very unfriendly, and they try to guilt you into services while up-selling you on everything. The most recent charge took the cake.....$180 for a urinalysis on my ca... read more

The absolute WORST place to go. Pet owners/lovers BEWARE. These people care nothing for animals and are constantly trying to upsell something you don't need! Animals come home with more problems than what they originally went in with. Some even covered in feces. Absolutely awfull experience. Will NOT return NOR recommend.

I am very disappointed with Tigard animal hospital. One of my dogs has allergic reaction to the Rabies vaccination and apparently when my husband took her in to get DHLPP and Corona vaccines, we got charge for a pre-med injection of $55,-. When I called them back, seemed like the guy confused because on her record didn't specify what vaccine that my dog allergic to. Since my dog was a puppy, we always took her to this place and many times I have mentioned (to the technician or the Dr.) the only allergy that she have is to Ra... read more
