I feel badly giving a one-star rating, because every person I interacted with was caring and seemed to be competent at their jobs. I am disappointed with this hospital, again! I had one of my dog's anterior teeth extracted here Feb 2021 and recently the extraction site appears different. It looks like they left root tip behind and it's pushing itself out at this point. I called to schedule a follow-up and they did share that I would need to pay for this visit. I understand that services aren't free. However, I'm disappointed in my previous experiences and this one just tops the cake. I have been a customer at Tigard Animal Hospital (TAH) for over 18 years with all my pets. TAH is now managed by Dr. Tello and Hospital Manager, Amie. I do not recommend using TAH for routine Wellness care for your pet. Here is why: I recently learned from Hospital Manager, Amie, that TAH is an emergency Hospital which means scheduled appointments are delayed when emergency animals are brought to Tigard Animal Hospital. UNBELIEVABLE. After paying $28 for a pedicure all year suddenly the tell me they want $41. No way. I paid the $28 which is higher because they were conveniently located to my home. That's $2.80 per toe. Now they wanted a $15 technician fee plus the $28 pedicure fee. It's approx a. 10-15 minute procedure meaning the techs should be making $60 per hour. No frigging way am I going to pay that. They took it off this time, "since I didn't know". Give me a break. That is the most ridiculous pricing I think I've ever hear of. ... read more

1. They turn through their staff, veterinarians, constantly. In the last 4 years I have seen 5 different vets because the one before "doesn't work here anymore." Even the support staff would tell me they are leaving and it's bad place to work. This affected me and the care of my cat, because there were was no continuity and even though she was diagnosed with renal failure and hyperthyroid there, I had to explain the same thing over and over. Critical: Professionalism, Reliability, Responsiveness Went in for the rabies shots walk ins today at 9:22am. I was told there were three people ahead of me and when I called back an hour later I was told there was one person ahead of me. Processing two people per hour? Really? Stay away, find a better more customer friendly vet service. Even with a mask they will not let you into the premises. When you arrive for your "appointment" you have to call them and quite often you get voice mail. After leaving a message you wait for a call back and once you connect they tell you to wait until a tech comes out for your pet. I really wanted to like Tigard Animal Hospital as the staff I have interacted with have been very friendly and nice in person. HOWEVER, they have royally forked me over due to their lack of thoroughness and follow-through. Having to bring my dog in more than once for the same issue that could have easily been treated on one visit now spread out to multiple visits costing no less than $200+ each time. I brought my cat in because I thought he MIGHT have a UTI. Instead of just doing a urine analysis, they insisted on doing an ultrasound too (before even knowing if he actually had an infection). Then they told me there was no sign of a UTI but he did show signs of inflammation from "stress". He's a cat, he's always on high alert especially being an indoor/outdoor cat.
