I prefer this movie theater over any other in Tyler. I like it because it's smaller and more family oriented and not filled with every high school kid in town! Rooms are a good size and the seats are pretty comfortable.
We love Times Square Cinema and go there often. There isn't much to do in this town, so we go see movies almost weekly. We've gone to the other theaters a few times but prefer Times Square. It's were families and older couples seem to go. I like that you don't have to sit through 30 minutes of commercials before the movie starts! Plus their prices are better and their seats are more comfortable.
This is a small independent theater and from what I understand is family owned. If you want to go to a movie, please patronize this one whenever possible. I've been there before and it is always clean and the staff are nice and friendly.
It's a quite and nice little movie theater. The seats are very comfy. The sound and picture are good. They have a large selection of movies. I travel to Tyler for business and enjoy catching a weeknight movie here in the under crowded theater. Nice family place too.
This theater definitely has a nice vibe. If you get frustrated with 14 year olds and adult mental midgets talking, texting, and generally acting stupid during movies you will probably like this place. There's still some of that going on but it's been my experience that it is much less prevelant than at the other places in town. Ticket and snack bar prices are also much better than the other options. For a while the snack bar was selling Double Daves pizza by the slice as well, although I am not sure if they still are - Now ... read more
I prefer this theater over any other in town. It is more family oriented and a little less "flashy" and loud. The owners and employees are friendly and make going to the movies pleasant for a family. They also have a punch card for a free movie pass or for free popcorn. Seating is quick, parking is good and the snack bar and ticket prices are reasonable.
Half of the games are out of service or not working properly. Laser tag had to be restarted 4 times and still didn't work great. The restaurant is shut down. No ropes coarse during the week in August. Definitely put a damper on the birthday. Staff tried their best. They were working with what they had. Used to be a great place but is headed down hill.
Had a movie at 6:50. Came early. Stood in line to get refreshments. Finally got helped and served and walked into the theater at 7:15. We had no idea what was going on in the movie because we missed so much of it already. The worst part is, you only had ONE employee at the snack bar working and taking orders. There were at least 10 people in line. I was number four. THEEE other employees were there, however. One changing bags out of trash cans. One walking around pretending to sweep. One unwrapping paper towels beh... read more
There was only one person working the concession stand when we got there. I asked them if we needed to print our tickets and they said no just show them your phone receipt. No one questioned us. So anyone can just walk in?? Even though the line was long several workers walked by and no one else helped. It seems like it has gone way downhill which is a shame. The popcorn tasted sweet and was not good. The only thing good was the actual movie.
