We have found the staff at The Animal Care Center very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional, with special kudos to Dr Cory Thompson, whom our two Bichons (mother & daughter) simply love. Dr Thompson has an unusual way in greeting his animal patients, communicating with them to satisfy their anxiety of having come there (especially small animals) and is extremely thorough in his examinations with great follow-up. Very impressive animal clinic !!

I've taken my pets to Animal Care Center for years and love it! Dr. Howard and Dr. Behnke are the best and all of the front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly. My kitties don't like their vet visits but everyone there does their best to make the experience as painless and stress-free as possible.

I have been coming to Vacaville Animal Care Center for many years. Believe it or not,even before Dr. Barnes was there. Our first vet there was Dr. Cobble. All the current Dr's (Howard,Thompson,Benke and Garberson)are great . We have many pets and all leave been treated there for various issues. I would recommend this office to all pet owners. This has been our vet of 3 dogs for the past 9 years and recently looks to be heading in the wrong direction. A larger buisness just bought them out although not publicized and thier prices sky rocketed. Most of the friendly staff like Bev have moved on and you no longer get that welcoming atmoshphere with the new faces behind the desk. The doctors are still top notch and are the only ones holding this place together. We're going to miss Dr. Howard and Dr. Benke but will not miss the outrageous prices.

We had an emercency with our little Jack Russel. She had been attacked in the dog park and had a serious laceration in her neck along with puncture marks. Our family vet is in Sonoma so I googled emergency vet and Animal Care Center was first on the list. I was frantic when I called and Stella (bless her heart!) was able to calm me down, give directions and arrange to have an exam room and doctor available as soon as we walked in despite their full schedule that day. We love, love, love the care our animals have received here. A referral from a friend introduced us to you....and the compassion and professionalism that we saw when Dr. Thompson told us our guinea pig was terminally ill made a sad situation bearable. At that time, we decided that when we got a dog, this would be the vet center. Thanks to Dr. Behnke, our senior beagle (we got her late in her life) gets excellent care in a wonderful family-like facility. I have been going to animal care center for over 9 years. There care has been nothing but excellent. I see Dr Thompson, he is really great with my dog and plays with him well examining him. We had to put our dog down at Animal Care Center and they did a wonderful job of laying out or options before they put him to sleep. They also let us have time alone to say good bye to our dog. I have seen other vets there and they have all done a great job keeping my pets healthy. I would highly recommend this business.

Animal Care Center is one of the best places that I have had the privilege of taking my animals. These people really do care. They have a wonderful knowledgeable team of veterinarians who are really in depth with their chosen profession. I have had everything from torn dewclaw to "she got into ____" to he's not eating and is throwing up to something is wrong and I don't know what to do. I've been a client of Dr. Thompson's for many years. I've kept pet rats for many years and he's treated almost every one of them. I trust his judgement implicitly. He's not the type of vet to just listen to the symptoms and throw a bunch of medication at the patient. He always does a thorough exam and gives his honest opinion about what, if anything needs to be done. He is very good about explaining all of my options and what he thinks would would be best option.
