We love, love, love the care our animals have received here. A referral from a friend introduced us to you....and the compassion and professionalism that we saw when Dr. Thompson told us our guinea pig was terminally ill made a sad situation bearable. I have been going to animal care center for over 9 years. There care has been nothing but excellent. I see Dr Thompson, he is really great with my dog and plays with him well examining him. We had to put our dog down at Animal Care Center and they did a wonderful job of laying out or options before they put him to sleep. They also let us have time alone to say good bye to our dog. I have seen other vets there and they have all done a great job keeping my pets healthy. I would highly recommend this business.
Animal Care Center is one of the best places that I have had the privilege of taking my animals. These people really do care. They have a wonderful knowledgeable team of veterinarians who are really in depth with their chosen profession. I've been a client of Dr. Thompson's for many years. I've kept pet rats for many years and he's treated almost every one of them. I trust his judgement implicitly. He's not the type of vet to just listen to the symptoms and throw a bunch of medication at the patient. He always does a thorough exam and gives his honest opinion about what, if anything needs to be done. He is very good about explaining all of my options and what he thinks would would be best option. We have been taking our dogs and cats here since 1970. Their vets are consistently caring and very knowledgable. Dr Howard is a miracle worker with cats and Dr Thompson is a wonderful bunny vet.
this hospital is amazing if you have small animals. this is one of the few hospitals in vacaville that takes small animals, thanks to dr. amber behnke. she is an amazing vetrenarian who loves small animals. i recommend this place.
I have been looking for a good veterinarian for my pets for a while now. I wanted someone who would help me keep my pets healthy. I tried several vets in my area and finally met Dr. Thompson. He is a wonderful vet who will take the time to explain all aspects of your pets' care and let you make decisions about what is best for your pet. I have had nothing but great experiences here, with several animals, including our tortoise! The doctors are always very thorough and kind, and the rates are very reasonable. I don't feel like they try to push a bunch of unnecessary treatments on you. They include a coupon to see them for the first time free when you adopt from the shelter. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I have to disagree that the elderly vet is somehow incompetent. Dr. Barnes has dealt with my animals and he is fantastic. He has a calming effect on them and he really cares about them. The rest of the staff has been very helpful and calming, and I feel my pets are always in good hands. They have euthanized pets for me and have been very sincere and compassionate in the process.
