Waiting in the parking lot in the hot sun for 8 hours. Being told they would be out shortly for my dog and three hours after I arrived they came for him. They game me 2 care plans to choose from, one included antibiotics. The Dr. changed her mind after I agreed to the plan and paid. They would not give the antibiotic. Tried to charge me twice and give me pain meds I already had at home. I told them 3 times I did not want them and brought them out and charged me for them. I will never go back there!

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Mary. Your concerns have been forwarded to our management team.

Worst vet hospital. The longest wait times and absolutely MONEY HUNGRY people. Such a shame. They are not there to help you, they're just there to give you a headache and steal your money. Do not go here!!

Business response:

We are sorry you that your experience did not meet your expectations, Anna. Unfortunately, our wait times have increased significantly due to other hospitals not accepting patients during these times. Much like our human counterparts, our goal is to provide the highest level of emergency and specialized services to our pet community. Therefore, our fees reflect our teams' expertise and commitment to the exceptional care our practice offers patients year-round on a 24-hour basis. We would like to speak with you to learn more ... read more

How can we recommend a place that just made us sit in the parking lot for three hours waiting for our dog to be seen and when we asked if it’s going to be a lot longer because it’s 11 PM, you tell us I’m sorry it’s a 12 to 14 hour wait! Horrible!!

Business response:

We're sorry you were met with an extended wait time, Maria. Similar to other emergency and specialty facilities, our hospital has also experienced an extreme increase in patient cases. Even with our vast increase in staffing, we are still finding it hard to keep up with the demand for our services. While we work incredibly hard to have every pet assessed as quickly as possible, our team is trained to operate on a triage basis where patients are prioritized based on the severity of their presenting state. We urge clients to u... read more

I had an absolutely horrific experience with this hospital in just month with my two visits. My dog was having vertigo type symptoms which initially presented as isolated facial seizures. I waited almost SIX hours from about 10:30 at night to nearly 4 in the morning the first visit. Completely asinine. Then, when my dog still wasn’t well I took him back to our regular vet who reviewed his blood work and thought something was wrong with his liver enzymes, and ordered more blood with costing me more money. When his liver enzym... read more

Business response:

We were disappointed to read your comments and want to apologize for your negative experience, Michelle. One of our hospital’s core values is quality service. As such, we make it a priority to provide personal, professional, and compassionate customer service. We want all of our clients to feel confident they have chosen the right resource to care for their pet, especially in urgent cases. We know these end of life moments are very hard on our clients, and I am sorry that you felt that the doctor and our staff were not compa... read more

I had a mild emergency with my cat. I checked in and followed all procedures and ended up waiting in the car for 4 straight hours WITH my cat that was whimpering in pain and soaked in her own piss from the long ride we had to take to get there and wait 4 hours in a cage. We ended up driving away without anyone coming outside to grab her for her check up while 20 plus other clients or walk in “urgent care emergencies” are being assisted and being brought to and from cars as I’m watching for HOURS. I cried in the car calling e... read more

Business response:

We are sorry to hear about your experience with us, Ashley. We know waiting for pets to receive treatment can be quite concerning and frustrating. Just like a human emergency room, we prioritize each patient based on their critical needs. For pets with non-life-threatening circumstances there is often a longer wait than expected. You were here on a week day during "regular business hours" when our specialty services are seeing scheduled appointments and that is why you were likely seeing so many patients coming and going whi... read more

Very upset and disappointed in the lack of communication and concern for pets that are in critical condition. As the vet even said, our dog needed surgery ASAP but they were unable to provide that emergency service due to others waiting since 2PM. I get that. However, my understanding is (or at least it should considering it’s an EMERGENCY vet) that it goes by level severity / critical care. We were told that it was advised to not bring her home because of the uncertainty if she would make it through the night yet they refus... read more

If you want to get price gouged and wait in your car for six hours with your injured pet, then this is the place for you! Other wise a find some where else with a little more compassion (or some).

Business response:

Unfortunately Springfield Ma no longer has a veterinarian hospital available 24 hours and we were in a situation that we didn’t want to wait for our Kitty to be seen until the next day. We were recommended to call the Windsor Ct hospital but they were not taking anymore patients and then they recommended the hospital in South Deerfield. When I called they were pleasant and said they were busy but definitely could see my cat but might have to wait a couple hours. I was concerned about my cats hard swallowing and his decrea... read more

Told me to drive there an hour away when my dog got ahold of a 4" rib bone and might have swallowed it. Tell us to hurry as time might be a factor. Arrive and they do intake and have us wait in the lot for him to be brought in for xray as we didn't know the exact size or if it was stuck in his esophagus or splintered or what, and they didn't want to induce vomiting without more information as it could do more harm than good. We wait over an hour and finally call. They forgot about us, and as everyone was leaving they "didn't... read more
